well, you could use a short section which has no obvious bpm, such as an ambient wash or white noise build... or, you could put the beat to half-time (if you're already at half time go to normal time), or some other switch-up it's pretty hard to offer much without hearing the parts and the context i...

yeah, take a beat, slice to midi (probably not using the transient setting, you want the slices to be pretty small) then, automate some effects, - bit crusher, reverb, delay, chorus, stuff like that... and tweak, and tweak, and tweak

well perhaps - understand that a version for mac is in beta, but i also understand it will be running in a windows shell or something similar - we will see. it won't be playing the same instrument per se, it'll be playing another instance of the same instrument, hence 'duplicate', so depending on how cpu-intensive your instrument is, you might want to be careful with too many duplicates.
