I'm glad it worked out for you, Willyum. Lets hope the update rumours are true. yeah, external vinyl control is disabled when in rewire mode, but there is a work around. Open Torq first and Live second, this allows them to be open simultaneously without being rewired. All you have to do then is rout...

yeah, external vinyl control is disabled when in rewire mode, but there is a work around. Open Torq first and Live second, this allows them to be open simultaneously without being rewired. All you have to do then is route the audio from Torq back into Live externally.

If you've already recorded the audio and you still can't hear it, then it could very well be that you have input only monitoring turned on in PT. It's a function in one of the drop down menus that allows you to monitor only that which is being routed into PT, even during playback.

Gee... Thanx for the input.

Ovbiously i'm being sarcastic and obviously I didn't know about the other alternatives.

Try and remember not everyone knows as much as you.

No, I think it'd be a useful effect and it would definitely be easier than drawing mixer/clip automation ever time you want to acheive the effect. I've played with Live Cut a bit but I don't really like its parameters and I would like to see what the abes can come up with as an alternative.

Not that kind of slicer

I think it would be great if the abes did develop a slicer although I'm thinking of something like beat repeat. Instead of repeating at specified intervals it could silence the audio at specified intervals.

Any thoughts?

Where do you put your library?

I was told by one of my teachers that external drives typically read faster and since I already had my library backed up on my external drive I set it as the main library for Live but I'm not really noticing any difference in CPU usage or anything else for that matter. So I ask: Where is the best pl...

the utility trick and Livecut

So I've been playing with the utility trick and Livecut and I think I've found a better solution than what was offered in the Wiki. In the Wiki method, the audio still isn't sent to the plug-in until it passes through the send, so Livecut still has a bit of lag while it buffers the audio. I got the ...

There are a few presets that are not present in the 6 packs that you can install, for example the simpler power and electronic packs. However, it doesn't matter in which order you do this, unless you've already installed version 5 on your laptop. There have been some minor issues with the library fo...

More Crashes

I have already contacted support on this matter. I just want to see if anyone is experiencing the same problem as I am. I have had numerous crashes with Live 6. It all started with installing the Live Packs. I ended up deleting everything created by 6 and re-installing ver 5.2.2. Then I re-installed...
