In my opinion Live is well suited as a rewire master with Reason and Project 5. So i'd advise getting them for VSTi, drum machines and stuff. Only thing i do not like is that you cannot run audio through the Reason 2.5 effects online - you have to bounce it all down and import it into the NNXT. It w...

Aye. I could do that. But i don't use ANY of the big "three" sequencers. Because to be quite honest, they are completely shit. Shove your (un)Logic up your arse as far as i'm concerned! I do use Computer Muzys. The full version is Rewire compatible, so maybe i could get that. Either way, i'm s...

Could i maybe make a suggestion....

Get Recycle 2!!

You can slice your loops, export the slices, and assign those to keys on your keyboard(s)

Then you can jam away as you like at any resolution!

Live is meant to be used as an instrument, and this is one good example i feel.

This guy is being a complete dick. First of. He is making a pointless argument about "musicians" and "non-musicians" - what the hell is sooooooooooooooooo unmusical about arranging "loops"!! Treat people like that and you'll get no help and advice. Oh, and i play piano and perform too, i'm not simpl...

Live will "steal" the midi connection, it won't go through to Reason.

The solution is to use a program like Hubi's Loopback or MidiYoke.

I prefer MidiYoke as it allows you to do more advanced things like swap CC numbers via software, limit knobs and faders and various other stuff that is cool too :)

I have a Technics KN1600. I'm planning on using the built in sequencer to trigger my vsti's (via something like Xlutop Chainer) and then record the audio into Live.

My question is, are there any decent hardware sequencers that would work better?

Users that buy or unlock Live 2.x on or after August 1st....

New users that buy or unlock Live 2.x on or after August 1st, 2003 will be eligible to receive a free upgrade to Live 3. Right. I have just ordered it, and it should be making its way across the UK to my room now :) When Live 3 comes out, will the "free upgrade" be a boxed edition or download? Would...
