Re: The future of ableton live (10 years)

I don't know the ins and outs of Push's hardware, but I imagine this would take a lot of work. Since Live is written for Windows and OSX, a version on Push would have to be written for whatever processor Push uses. This to me sounds like a complete rewrite of an audio engine, and of course all the d...

Re: Push monophonic sequencer?

Actually the touch strip does give you some feedback, little dots tell you at what octave ranges there are notes placed :)

Re: Push monophonic sequencer?

I don't find it that bad but I agree, they could probably use the coloured pads for at least describing where you are in the octave ranges/// kinda like the way the Elektron Analog RYTM handles chromatic mode... it's easy to see where you are in the loop with the loop buttons up top but chromaticall...

Re: Navigating deeper into parameters

You gotta press the device name itself up on the top layer of buttons above the screen, that takes you in deeper. Then you can navigate left or right, clicking on the parameter bank names to access them (buttons below acreen)

Re: Push 2

One other suggestion...

Ableton could just make a folder called 'Live Sets' that goes in the broswer...

Hit Browse.. top of the list.. choose the set.

Bam.

Re: Push 2

Just picked up a Push 2 from my local reseller. Went for the trade in deal. It's awesome. Just a small note but the USB is maybe double the length of the last one. I couldve bought a new cable but I was always plugging Push 1 into the side of the laptop it reached, no biggie anymore, plug in any sid...

Re: Reasons for keeping Push 1, please add yours

I was thinking that. Push 1 was extremly novel, but there was always a bunch of functionality that was a bummer. People using Push 2 may actually make more music, simply because they use it more.

Still, I dont have it yet. Will find out in the next couple days.

Re: Reasons for keeping Push 1, please add yours

I'm seeing lots of completed listings for Push 1 in my country that are not selling. The best price is $365 Australian ($250 US approx.), which is $20 short of what I save If I swap my Push at a local retailer. In my mind, the Ableton deal is worth it. It takes the hassle out of having to sell the d...

What happens when you sell Push?

You transfer the licence to the buyers account, and they wind up with a copy of Live Intro in their account too?
