I was wondering if there any if this genre that is less monotonous. What I have heard so far seems to be dance-oriented with constant booming bass and persistent beat. Maybe that's the point but I don't know.

I know it is a broad generalization but I have neither heard any House or Techno that I enjoy very much - mostly not melodic enough IMO. Sorry but that's been my experience.

Thanks for the links! I have heard some of this genre - it does nothing for me. I guess it's for not me.

Drum and Bass is a genre? Since when is a rhythm section a genre?

Holy smoke I just googled it and it is a genre? When did this happen. I wonder what it sounds like? Can anyone recommend a good example? I sure hope it isn't any danceable. I must be geeting old.

Thanks,
Gordon

I hate iTunes. I'd rather walk 100 miles to buy the CD's than purchase any Apple product.

Chordspace is definitely preferrable. It does arps as well as chords.

Thanks Andreas, I have tried and love the result of chaining these together but these are too unpredictable for my needs. I want defined arpeggios that I don't have to set up manually. Are you aware of any preset created for any of these plugins that provides a range of harmonic possibilities like C...

I am missing something important about using the Arp effect in Live 5. I was hoping there would be presets for various scales, broken chords and modes but there are none. Are these in the works? If not, I guess I will stick to using eXT to trigger patterns. I have the similiar question abot the chor...
