I'm not sure what I'm doing, but for some reason Live constantly crashes for un-linked reasons. Try to arm a track within a group while the group's audio is turned off? Crash. A few of my friends use gun cases to carry their APC40s. They're cheap (like $20 cheap), have ample padding, and a hard shell. Add to that the fact that no one will even think of trying to steal from you! I wish I could provide a link but I'm on my phone right now. Just get the dimensions of the apc...

If your midi instrument/plugin/ whatever has a legato feature, enable it and then slightly overlap the notes in the piano roll to achieve a pitch slide. If you don't have a legato feature, the only option I can think of is to render the sequence to waveform and throw it into a sampler, then automate...

Gaming mice and keyboards (like the G series from Logitec) are amazing for both their tactile control and macro capabilities. While they may be more expensive, you will have more control over both function and ergonomics.

Beatport is a good choice and the one I prefer (though there are others).

As for wav files, you're really not going to notice a difference between the default 320 mp3 and the wav unless you're on a huge system. It's not really worth the extra money for the wav
