just make sure your video is compressed properly.. id recommend keeping it a very small filesize.. but issues like this are usually down to video compression settings. if you open the video in Quicktime or soemthing and it pauses alot on you well then u know its not compressed.

unfortunately....i think dual core is the best route. i use R5 and L6 together on a single chip... then when i called over to a friends house i was blown away by Live's ability to handle. we had 6 instances of R5 with 3 + fx inserted on each channell. luckily my board supports dualcore so its the ne...

you can also just hit 'edit' in the clip window and when it opens in your wave editor save it wherever you want!
