riddle me this... i don't have the beta. this is what i'd like to do: have 4-5 tracks of stuff going on and assign a keyboard key to each track so when the key is depressed and held the track is muted. on release of the key, the track is unmuted. i also want to be able to do the inverse... start off...

aren't preset files just texts anyways? i never looked, but if they're human readable, you could probably write a script that generated random numbers and substitued them out. make a bunch of them and scroll through your random presets... bear in mind that you'd have to work in a discreet range... ....

i'm not implying that anyone should steal or illegally share it. if it's worth it, i'd even be willing to spend a few extra dollars. hopefully it'll be okay to share it.

Essential Instrument Collection Download

The EIC will come with the boxed upgrade version of live 6. Will it be available to download upgrade users eventually? Is this to save on bandwidth or just a "value added" incentive to buy the boxed version?

depending on how the original is mixed, there are phase tricks you can try. flip the phase of one channel and bounce to mono. see what you're left with.

i had a break-in once. it wasn't so bad that they took sh#t (although it did suck). it was the fact that strangers were in my house when i was sleeping. be thankful you and your family weren't hurt.

also, if there ever is a MIDI2.0, it'd be cool if it was a universal protocol to control everything from robotics, lighting, manufacturing... anything with automation.

unless there's a synergistic effort of hardware manufacturers and software developers to get a new standard spec, midi will remain king. it's in too deep. more likely you'll see something like MIDI2.0

beer is too broad a topic... like comparing apples to oranges (or pcs). break it down into categories.

fav light: blue moon
fav med: stella
fav dark: bass
fav meal: guiness
