Re: Making all of my (currently unreleased) music free

I'm not a musical genius. More importantly, I don't have a great marketing team convincing the masses that I am. That's the key. You throw your hat into a lot of genres and just about everything I've heard is a great example of whatever that genre is. There's a lot of people who post "Here's m...

Making all of my (currently unreleased) music free

I'm not a musical genius. More importantly, I don't have a great marketing team convincing the masses that I am. So, I've come to accept the fact that I'm not going to make any kind of good money from music. At least not from what I've put out so far. Based on that, I've decided to say "fuck it...

Re: OT: Cycling ... as in... riding bikes... as in... bicycles

My beer / burger / fries / wings / pizza intake is double my exercise output.

If I didn't ride, I'd be morbidly obese.

Re: OT: Cycling ... as in... riding bikes... as in... bicycles

About two months ago, I made a lowball offer on this bike, thinking the owner would send me packing. Instead, he accepted, and I took it ASAP before he changed his mind or someone else came and swiped it. Bought it for about half of what I could've paid for it. SCORE. Amazing ride. Hands down, the b...

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...

So, I was finding the 25 keys in the SL MKII way too limiting... also, I wasn't really taking full advantage of the Automap function. Sold it, and... well... during my scour for an alternate controller, found an SL Compact 49 for dirt cheap. Also, purchased Komplete 7. http://i2.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: amon tobin - isam

I'm a little late to the party, but I just bought (GASP! that's right, I bought) ISAM and I think it's pretty fucking awesome.

Then again, I've always had a big appreciation (read "hard-on") for AT's production technique, so maybe I'm a little biased.

Still too early to tell. I got it on Friday, and since then I've only been able to play with it once. Been busy with some other non-music-related ish. :(

Haven't "given up" on MPCs per se. Just wanted to try something different for a while.

Re: So I made (another) dubstep track

It’s probably fine but I just don’t think a good remix tempo can be achieved with other outgoing and incoming tracks. A lot of the stuff from Bassnectar and similar artists lies in the 170-ish BPM tempo range. This one is 180 BPM. Since they're technically half-time, you could say they're running a...
