Re: Studio Monitor Noise.

Probably some kind of "earth" problem. I've had problems w/ earth loops in all kinds of environments, both apartments and studios. The solutions are quite varied, all from pro hum eliminators, unplugging your fridge to,... rewiring the whole apartment complex ! My Pro-Fel monitors are picking up cra...

Re: Need help fixing defective HDD

Stellar Phoenix.

It saved my life when I thought all hope was lost.
Tried just about every other app on the market, but this
one was the only one that could read the partitions.

Best of luck.

Re: Collaborating with Pro Tools user

Convert your 32bit files to 24bit.

You can drag and drop straight into PT,
creates tracks automaticly.

PT will split the trx into L/R as it doesn't
support interleaved files.

It should all be a piece of cake.

Re: Disable "Fade" on preview and audio clips?

Record/Warp/Launch > Create fades on clip edges.

I'm not sure that this applies to any behavior in the
browser, tho I'm quite sure that it should play back
any file "as is" and not apply any fades when previewing.

Re: Ableton - max .als size that triggers "not enough memory..."

I'm quite sure this has nothing to do with RAM but more likely to be an error in the als file. Both my projects that would not load are super light affairs, just a few vsti's. I had an issue in the past were Live would just freeze during loading. Sometimes beachballin' on me, sometimes just plain de...

Re: Corrupt Video output in v8 on OSX

This is bad news !

I was hoping that 8 would've fixed this issue.

Sure that it's quicktime ?

Same avi file plays back fine on PPC/wintel
and standalone boxes for me though. It's just
VLC on Intel mac that sends distorted mayhem
thru my monitors.

Re: Ableton - max .als size that triggers "not enough memory..."

I get this error with a 532kb .als file. Another that wouldn't load was around 800kb. Both very "light" projects. I managed to get one up and running by toggling the audio driver and then removing a selection of plug-ins, then resave the thing. Lost alot of work but at least I can load it up and rew...

Re: Corrupt Video output in v8 on OSX

I had the same issue with 7. Yet to render anything in 8.

Maybe it's a Live > VLC thingy ? When I ran the vid on a PPC machine using VLC
the distortion inferno was gone...Weird.

OT : How to Kill a Conspiracy Theorist

So, these "enlightened & awakened" people who's minds are obviously higher tuned and more special than us "common" folk has managed to pollute this forum too... I'm not gonna take up alot of space here just a few pointers as I'm a busy man and so should you be... 1. Almost all "conspiracy theorists"...

OK, so what,...Is it really any breaking news that 99% of all DJ's are failed and/or wannabee, pop/rockstars ?? Sven Väth has jumped on every trend in electronic music for as far back as I can remember,... Trance, ambient, electro, pounding techno and of course the latest "minimal",...Judging by his...

Gosh ! This conspiracy shit is old news and it's too damn funny how these "bursts" of "awakenings" pop up alongside major hollywood movies. You can tie it like clockwork to X-Files, The Matrix, and of course the latest vomit inducing flick/book The daVinci Code... Stay off wikipedia kids and go out ...

Multiple Automation Breakpoint Selection

Hi, When selecting more than one automation breakpoint, the readout of by how much they are being changed is still nowhere to be found in Live 7 !!!??? This should be a basic function shouldnt it ? Can't we have fades/xfades and a proper zoomer at least...This is very basic stuff. Somehow, including...

Yeah, the 1's and 0's in Live's summing engine def has a more grainy, platic vibe to them compared to a HD3 PT system :) So either you can get some real skill, go with the badger alt mutant rhino approach, or maybe think about a career as a carpenter, tho' some hammers share Live's transparency issu...
