Re: POD Farm 2 + two foot switches + Live 8 (especially Looper)

I found a fix for my issue. I posted it over at the Line 6 forums (http://line6.com/community/thread/51863). I also posted a shorter version, with the Line 6-specific stuff omitted, as an answer to another thread here at the Ableton Forum: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=129403

Re: FS-5U Boss pedal switch with LOOPER

I know this is an ancient thread, but I was stuck with the same problem and found a solution for it. I posted my fix over at the Line 6 forums ( http://line6.com/community/thread/51863 ), since I'm using my BOSS FS-5U with a Line 6 TonePort UX2, but I'll summarize some of it here as well, for the be...

POD Farm 2 + two foot switches + Live 8 (especially Looper)

I'm trying to set up some foot controllers to let me start Live playing and to work with the Looper effect in Live 8. I have two Boss FS-5U foot switches hooked up to my Line 6 TonePort UX2. POD Farm is capable of passing these on as MIDI CC to Live, and Line 6 has an OS X System Preferences pane ca...

Re: PC to Mac .als Copy = PITA over Missing Samples from Lib

I recently switched from PC to Mac and ran into this with one sample (that I thought was part of the stock library). I eventually found it with Spotlight and moved it into the project folder of the set in question. Then I let Live (6.0.10) search for and find the sample. So it's back to good now. No...

That way everybody gets the same experience. Everyone doesn't want the same experience. Live's a great platform. You can buy what you need, rather than having to buy everything and lay out a grand for it. If that were the entry-price for Live, I'd be using something else. That would price a lot of ...

LaCie makes good stuff. I have this 250GB USB2 one:

I'm thinking about getting a 500GB one to go along with it.

I just got my UX2 this week, but I'm really loving it. The sounds are impressive, and it was easy to set up and get going.

Re: Volume from Guitars

Im using a toneport ux2 with gearbox and live lite. I plug my strat into the normal input on the tone port but I dont get much volume on the meters or faders. Besides the overall output level on GearBox, which I'm sure you already checked, check the volume setting on whichever amp mod or preamp mod...

I have it, and I like it. But I really only use it for converting .wav files to .mp3 (via the LAME codec). It's great for that, and for sample trimming. My audio editor needs are fairly modest, so it works for me. It has come a long quite a ways since the earlier versions. So anyone who used to not ...
