Re: fine editing automation

I just expanded my master track as big as it would go. I found that using control and mouse it was not possible to set the tempo to 104.00 - 103.99 or 104.01 What's the trick to set it to 104.00? I still think it would be quite easy to have a popup box to enter them - it's probably easier from a cod...

Re: fine editing automation

It's a bit better with ctrl and move the mouse.

But not ideal - there should be a way to type it in.

fine editing automation

Is there a way to do this? For example I can of course draw and record automation for tempo but if I want to be really precise it's hard to get the value of say 130bpm using the mouse and drawing. Is there something a bit like list editor in Cubase where I can overtype the 129.67 or indeed enter som...

Re: hi

You really spent 800 a year ago and it takes 20 minutes to start and you still haven't called tech support?

I admire your 'restraint'...

Re: MIDI: loop end, how to adjust the step size

You can select the loop in the clip view and then ctrl down arrow to reduce the loop lenght down to 1/32.

It's not assignable to a midi controller afaik:-(

And it only goes down to 1/32:-(

And it often loses sync when you come out of loop mode:-(

It's not as good as Traktor for this effect.

Re: Live 9 - What Workflow Needs the Most Improvement?

I think navigation and tools in both arrangement and clip need work. For editing probably can just copy the cubase rightclick tools thing - it works well. Simple things like moving back and forward by bar or snap/grid at a time while editing. Vinyl mode - back and forth in the clip a bit like Traktor.

Re: MIDI: loop end, how to adjust the step size

But.....

Say you have 4 kicks per beat and you want to stutter the end of each kick you can beat repeat every 1/4 and use the offset and gate to get the effect you want.

You need to offset a bit more than the length of the kick and it's only offsetable by 1/16ths.

But it might be quite close.
