Re: backward warp

It would be nice to be able to warp back in the same way you can warp forward though - do you agree?

I don't think this is difficult to implement either.

backward warp

Is it possible to warp backwards? A lot of tunes have an intro which can mislead ableton and it gets the tempo and downneat wrong. So you go to the main part, set 1.1.1.1 do warp and usually it's fine. But say you want to play the intro as well. How do you play from the start and keep it in time wit...

midi assigns work on active/currently selected track mode

If you assign a midi controller to transpose of a clip then this is applied to the currently selected track which is incredibly useful because you can reduce the number of physical midi controllers you need. It would be nice to extend this to all the parameters of the selected track. There could be ...

midi control effects parameters versus clip parameters

Is it possible to assign midi controllers to the highlighted clip's track in session mode? I have assigned some midi controllers to sample pitch etc. which work on the currently highlighted track's clip but I haven't been able to do the same with controllers mapped to for instance the cutoff frequen...

loop 16ths sync lost - fix please

if you make a loop of 1 bar and ctrl down arrow while playing another clip all the way down to 16th loop and then let the loop go it's often out of sync and the quantisation has been lost. this is horrible when djing because you then have to stop the clip you just built up to or stop the rest becaus...

Re: midi - play along in recorded track without new recording

what I meant is that once you record something in a midi track you cannot hear anything else unless you either record into the existing track (which you probably don't want to do because if it's rubbish it's a bit of a pain to get rid of). Or copy the track with the potentially huge overhead of copy...

Re: resume clip from stop point

that stops everything - I want to just stop a particular clip snd let the other clips run.

maybe ctrl + mouse click the square clip stop or some other key modifier.

Re: multiple loops per clip - with names

that's what I do - multiple clips with different looped sections. But the whole thing gets quite cluttered then with so many bits of some tracks and it's difficult to see what all the names are because the bit about the loop section tends to be at the end where you cannot see it because the session ...

midi - play along in recorded track without new recording

In cubase you can record a midi track and then play along with it in the same track with the same instrument. Whe you are happy you can either record in the same track or just make a new track mapped to the same instrument. In live you have to copy the whole track (I think) and remove the clip and t...

resume clip from stop point

for long clips it would be nice to be able to stop the clip and resume from the stop point (taking into account any quantisation). Especially useful for long songs and speeches etc. where you want to stop the action and have something else move on and then resume the other one from the point it stop...
