A way to choke between sample groups inside Sampler?

Hi, just what the title says... maybe anyone has found a way to choke (Hi Hat) samples with no need to separate them in different Sampler instances, each one in its own chain??

Thanks!

Re: MIDI files preview in Live's browser...

One forseeable problem with this is that if you chose a cpu/ram demanding vst for preview, it could really tweek out your live performance situation. I think it would work out much better if you just made accompanying audio clip previews for reference. It is the way that it already works, right? Of...

Re: MIDI files preview in Live's browser...

Yes I agree. Would be nice if you highlight the track with the VSTi or Live inst on it and the midi preview uses it. I thought it was just me. Ok, I have made a thread on Feature Wishlist forum if you want to vote for it / suggest solutions for that: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=137...

MIDI files preview in Live's browser...

hi there, i wonder myself if there is a way to preview midi files in browser with some VST or live device instead of that nasty sound... if not, Abes please could you implement a nice solution on future versions? For example, i have a folder with lots of midi drum tracks, and want to preview those, ...

Re: A minimalist approach to songwriting in Ableton

Seems very interesting, thanks! please let me take some time to read it. Currenlty i have trouble to focus on plain songwriting due to all new things that comes in new version (i come from v6) and studio hardware updates. Sometimes i find myself being a technician rather than a music. Also i enjoy y...

How large is your..... *ejem*... Live's Library?

Currently mine is 111GB :x I have EIC2 and Session Drums installed, besides other ALPs and a ton of manually converted Kontakt libraries... Live's file manager lasts forever when try to scan it (maybe 22h last time, ultralol). However, i *still* keep it reasonabily organized. How much large is yours...

Re: LED style volume meters

IMHO there are two kind of GUI concepts, totally different. I like live's conception -minimal, elegant, plain and non-cluttered.

Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!

Up!!

Please, add .nkm (Kontakt multi) import support, as well as nki and other formats batch import. I can't figure why these are not yet implemented, right now importing whole kontakt collections into live's Sampler is a PITA.

Re: REX vs WAV format

I guess then i can delete WAV and AIF versions, and keep only REX ones, thanks.

Maybe is a silly question: does Ableton Live warp WAV and REX equally fine, or maybe is more efficient / accurate with one concrete format?

REX vs WAV format

Hi there, i am doubting about the following, and would like to hear your opinions: I own some commercial audio sample collections. They ussualy come in 3 flavours: WAV, REX (.rx2) and APPLE LOOPS (.aif). My HDD space is getting low and i am looking to optimize my sample library, so i am likely to st...
