Re: Can i MIDI map a YAMAHA DM 3000 to Ableton Live 8

I would have thought - assuming you have a MIDI input for the DM3000's MIDI output - then yeah sure.

Never used that particular bit of kit, obviously depends on its drivers, but if its designed to be a MIDI controller, then should be able to be used as one

Re: about VST automation recording in Live

Can't say I've ever had this problem - but here's my non-expert list of the things I would check first: Any controller software (like novation automap) these translation interfaces from usb plug to DAW often like being disobedient. MIDI settings - what takeover mode are you on? If so, try a differen...

Re: Echo is louder than the original signal

Have fun with it. I learnt so much more to start with just turning things on and off and making a mess a...

Re: Echo is louder than the original signal

Is it in a send channel, in which the volume is too high?
Is the effect set with too much feedback?
Do you have 'freeze' I think it is in the reverb that just keeps layering sounds on top of sounds...

Twin Launchpad Questions/Problems

So I tried posting about some of this before but don't think I explained myself very well, so didn't get much luck, however I have explored more where the issues seem to be but still cannot get a reliable solution. Two Launchpads, one in user 1 and the other in user 2, several problems. Plugging int...

Sequential Macros/Controls

In any of the mode views for linking one thing to another, i.e. MIDI, Key, and inside Racks Map Mode: A sequential state to commands so you could input a ms delay between executing instructions. An extra column in the edit panel for all of these could provide the delay, and they go in order they are...

Launchpad lighting reset issue

My Launchpads keep lighting up when they shouldn't. So I'm using User 1 and User 2 modes, and after a while they start glowing randomly in red and green, mostly in lines and repetitively changing patterns. Is this a common issue/is there a way around it? EDIT: I meant to add - I can clear it, by tak...

Can you...I'm kinda making this up as I go along but it sounds a similar issue to one I had...can you put the output of Alexkid track going into another MIDI track, monitor on. So now if you record into arrangement view, can you record midi or audio in that monitor track? Can you not use copy that b...
