Re: Automatic updates not working on 9suite?

I launched 9.0.4, hoping this would be the one that updates itself, but no luck. Not a single update has happened automatically for me, ever. Selecting "Check for updates" from the menu still just opens the webpage.

Re: 4 questions about Mountain Lion

My problem with doing it this way is that it's almost like a total clean install, none of apps have preferences the way I want. Live is asking me to authorise and so on. There are no addons in Firefox. iKey has no shortcuts!! Search for Migration Assistant in Spotlight. It can get /Applications and...

Or much less than a day to go into preferences and configure it the way you want :)

Re: PUSH SHIPS IN?!?!

Small batches have appeared here, but of course it happened right as I had a bunch of little expenses :P
Oh well, maybe next round.

Re: OSX - How To Get Rid Of 'Recent Items' In Dock For Live 9?

I use the Secrets (http://secrets.blacktree.com) prefpane to adjust some system settings. Among other things, you can globally alter the number of recent items shown for ALL programs. There are many useful accessibility-related options which can be changed too.

Re: PUSH SHIPS IN?!?!

Yeah, it definitely will be a useful tool for me (replacing at least 3 other devices). I hope the local stores start to get shipments next week. Should be soon now, since the UK is starting to get flooded with Push :)

Re: PUSH SHIPS IN?!?!

Ouch, they charged your card and then delayed the shipping to at least a week later?! Also, the "shipping soon" e-mail is hilarious, in a tragic sort of way :)

Re: PUSH SHIPS IN?!?!

I signed up for the "might want Push, eventually" list at the friendly local gear store today. They had 5 way back from the first batch, but no word from the distributor about the (now) 16 or so the store needs. Another store has basically given up and said "22nd August, maybe, possibly". They're ti...

Re: Ableton Screen Casting

Bundles are frequent on Mac, yes. If there's anything you want (not made by Panic ;) it'll usually get a steep discount at least once a year. I personally use ScreenFlick for screen recording (it's small and fast, but might lack a few extras found in Screenflow), but I still route through SoundFlowe...

Re: Komplete 9

Yeah, skip them unless it's really worth it to you. I got Komplete 7 as a sidegrade, so the initial expense was really small for me. K8 had Kontakt 5, and at the time the sale price for this upgrade was the same price as a Kontakt upgrade! K9 is tempting because it adds just enough products to be wo...

Kontakt 4 and 5 should load them. At least I think I've loaded soundfonts into it :)

Re: Ableton Screen Casting

I second the SoundFlower option. It's excellent for recording screencasts, Skype conferences, or sounding like Satan when you call mom.

Re: Native Full Screen on Mac

Live just makes the window borderless. It doesn't use the native Cocoa call to toggle to fullscreen mode (the one where it occupies all displays in the latest OS). It's more like (or could the the actual) old "kiosk mode".

Re: Ableton 8 software

I've done various upgrades earlier this year, and I just re-authorised on the new computers. One computer was a full replacement where I just transferred the old system and reimaged, the other was a full reinstallation because of a CPU/mobo upgrade. Your two most recent authorisations are the ones w...
