Re: insane activation policy

it's a workable policy, when I've had new installs they were always fast to update/increase my authorizations, and bottom line is THERE IS NO DONGLE. As a Cubase user, I can't emphasize enough how much I prefer ableton's policy over the existence of a fucking dongle, which serves no functional purp...

Why don't you delete all your (100) posts and stop posting? Does it really matter if your account is still here? Is there only one Steffan?

Re: Massive anxiety attacks on starting to use Ableton, help!

It was only about a year ago last December that I first tried Ableton for 30 days. I didn't purchase Live and start working with it again until this summer. Besides attempting to record a few songs in various studios over the past ten years (with little to no success because I'm kind of a perfection...

Re: Massive anxiety attacks on starting to use Ableton, help!

Lots of good advice. And yeah, I think Angstrom is on the money.. except I find being critical of my work, both during and after the creative process, a necessary tool. It's only counter-productive when it's, well, counter-productive ;), and I usually know when it's not serving me. It's not about pu...

Re: can you get any help with a free soundcloud account??

I got support with a free account. I couldn't remember the email address I used to sign up after months of non-use -or the password- and they sorted me out.

Have you tried contacting them yet? Might take a day or so get responses back.

Re: Need cheap audio interface for two monitors. Nothing else.

Just make sure whatever you choose has a power switch. My AI doesn't have one. This isn't an issue for me because I'm not using it to power my monitors, but if I was I would definitely want one.

Re: Reasons you love Ableton

Session View Yeah, I'm finally getting a handle on session view and I think it's going to completely change the way that I record. Even as a vocalist, cutting vocals is so much easier. I usually tend to flesh out the production before I'm ready to lay down vocals. If I'm doing this in arrangement v...

Reasons you love Ableton

ho ho ho.. let's list all the reasons we love Live.. and check it twice  1. I love how many ways there are to execute something / that when I think I've hit a brick wall, Live usually proves me wrong 2. That I've been working with it for months now and still learn something new almost every ti...

Re: 3 More hours and i get "ABLETON" tattoed on my necks

I would've just got the logo and not the Ableton writing. Then again, I probably won't be getting any tattoos in the near future and if I did it wouldn't be this. I like their logo, though.. and as long as you're happy with the tattoo that's all that matters!

Session view clip/scene count-in

As of right now the clips and scenes I've created in session view start playing the minute I press play (so I have to make sure everything is timed properly), whereas the preloaded clips and live sets automatically wait to play in time.

What am I missing/doing wrong here?

Re: Best microphone in the $100 range?

Can anyone recommend a good mic for me? All I will be doing is recording me speaking. So nothing too flash is required. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QJREXM/ref=oh_o06_s00_i00_details ^This usb mic wasn't ideal for recording my vocals (I had to spend a couple hundred more), but it's got a ni...
