To me it's still Peak despite what some say about it being bloated. I've tried Wave Editor, Amadeus, Sound Studio, Audacity and I still prefer Peak because of the little things that allow me to work much faster. So padkontrol's pads are different than microKontrol's? I just got the padkontrol and yes, the pads on this are way different from the ones on microkontrol. The microkontrol pads are more like push buttons. The padkontrol pads are made for banging on them. And compared to the pads on akai mpc2000, ...
