Re: How do I move the LFO Synched Beats into the MIDI Browser.

Do you mean moving the parameters under "min" and "max"? You can left click, hold down, and move the mouse up/down to adjust. Hope this helps...

Re: quadcore effect on loading times and GUI sluggishness

Fair enough...sorry I couldn't help further...the i5/i7 processors are quite a jump from C2D so it probably would help your case. For example, I had issues similar to yours when using Maschine standalone with VSTs - but since upgrading to an dual core i5 I'm having no issues. I ended up only using A...

Re: quadcore effect on loading times and GUI sluggishness

What platform are you running? Windows or Mac? What VSTs are you using, and what version of Ableton? I ran Ableton 8.1 on a Macbook Pro 15" C2D perfectly, whilst using 10 or so VSTs. I sometimes encountered high CPU usage, but never any GUI issues. If using a PC, some tips... 1. Disable Hyperthreadi...

Re: Ableton 7 Crashes

Look at the "Console" app in OSX...is there a crash log saved? Could you paste it here?

No offence meant, but is it a fully legit copy?

Re: How Does This Sound?

Sound like you're side chaining the pad...? In my opinion side chaining is way overused...try an LFO on different parameters, such as cutoff, resonance, pitch. Maybe try changing the key before you bring in the bass, to bring in some variation too. Or you could try the same chords, with a different ...

Re: ableton live 8 wants to use your confidential information..?

I believe that this is storing your Live account info, for when you access your account (authorising, etc) directly from Live.

I think that this was a recent change, traditionally you'd need to goto the Ableton website and download a file...now it's all integrated.

Hope this makes sense.

15" better for audio work as it has an input, and as you've stated it has a better GPU for gaming...quad core too.

Re: EDM, funky/groovy track

You're welcome :)

Maybe I'll get something online soon...I spend too much time on my sounds, not enough time on song structure!

Cheers

Re: EDM, funky/groovy track

Good stuff, repost it! I think it's a really good arrangement, I listened to it a 2nd time and the only thing I picked up on was that I would have preferred a synth sound to the piano...but that's just me, I don't really use piano sounds myself.

How are you creating it? It sounds like a moog with some effects on top of it perhaps?

Re: EDM, funky/groovy track

Good stuff, I really liked that. Only thing that caught my ear is that the bass sound should be a bit smoother, less fizzy distortion. At the moment, it kinda overpowers the rest of the track elements because of this...although this is just my preference I guess.

Hmm, it's a long shot but if you're running Windows try running Live "as administrator"... IE right click it and select that option.
