Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

well well well... this is getting interesting. Just "leaked" from the NI headquarters in LA: "Understandably, none of these are in any way confirmed, but a "strong hint" was given of the following upcoming products: -Traktor continuing to grow into a looping/quasi-production environment, ala The Br...

Re: Favourite new ANALOGUE synth?

Look, you're a random dude. Multiple people who I know and trust, who used it at NAMM, and who have a tremendous amount of experience with all variety of synthesizers have related to me how impressed they were with the construction of the Minibrute (including comments about how solid the faders and ...

You are getting so much mileage out of Capitaine Flam.

Although it is kind of funny if you say it out loud.

Daft Punk's pyramid was essentially the same concept, except they did it three years earlier. And although it was fucking cool too, I wouldn't necessarily describe it as "groundbreaking" either.

The people who were actually at NAMM confirm it's an all aluminum construction.

So there goes that.

Re: Winter NAMM 2012 thread..

"Did you say you were on mescaline?" Very much so I'm bummed about the single output on the Nord Drum as well. Seems like a weird decision, although I guess the rationale is that it's for drummers to add some color to a live performance, rather than being intended for studio use. I'd rather put tha...

Re: Favourite new ANALOGUE synth?

I can't vote. I really have no idea. I was certain I wanted the Minitaur, then NAMM happened. The Pulse II looks to be by far the most versatile: 3 osc, analog FM and ring mod, lots going on with that one. But the matrix editor would be annoying (although at least it has digitally accessible presets...

Air Force? No wonder you act like such a hyperventilating coward. I'm not even going to get into the logical fallacies inherent in your tired masculine/feminine/gay/straight rhetoric, but as long as you're going to spend your time doing research on me in an attempt to turn up material to use in Inte...

Get away from me No one's forcing you to post here, child. I didn't give a shit about with whatever conflict you had with whoever that kicked all this off. I didn't give a shit about your YouTube videos getting downvoted. I certainly don't give a shit about who you think you're smarter than. But I'...

Re: Akai's new MPC range

They are rumoured to be launching the new ipad3 in march. I hope that Akai have been talking with apple to make sure their hardware is future compatible as apple are known for writing off the availability of older models when they release new ones then following that they release operating systems ...

Re: Microsampling - How do you approach it?

This is the least stupid first post I've seen in a while. No need to self-flagellate. I really liked your track. It started to drag a bit at the end, but overall I thought it was catchy, danceable, and just generally enjoyable to listen to. I'll be following you on Soundcloud, keep it up. I'm going ...
