Hey, I just got a Novation X Station. I was wondering if it's possible to execute menu commands like undo, record quantize, etc. via midi switches?
By the way, the x station is well built. good bargain for what it does

You'll need two licenses. In other words, it's not worth doing unless you know you need it ;) I would install a cheap vst host like Energy XT and just run midi and audio between the machines. I second that. I have 2 computers (1 laptop, one rackmount) and I use energy XT on 1, ableton on the laptop...

Keep a CD/mp3 player on hand, running, switch over to it if you crash. reboot and jump around pumping your arms like you meant it to happen and it sounded AWESOME! lol. classic move. The crowd never suspects a thing. give it enough time and kids will be mimicking your mistake claiming it's a new dj...

that thing looks very suspiciously similar to Orion Platinum.... hrmmm.... When did Orion first launch? Like I said, I've been using MW for more than 7 years. The first time I fooled with it was in 97ish. It's pretty much stayed the same for nearly a decade (in it's looks). Not sure how long Orion'...

I've been using it for about 7 years. Really good program. I use Live more now, however. There's certain strengths that Live has (it's live and "moving" way of creation) that Making Waves doesn't (really stop go'ish when it comes to creating). But Making Waves has great strengths like drum programmi...

it's not very common but there are companies out there that do some sort of exchange management, like the collect the money from one person and the device from the other person and then finalize the transaction. I forget what this is called. but some people only trust that. it's worth looking into ...

to be honost ebay doesn't guarentee a whole lot, my girlfriend bought a purse off there that turned out to be a knock off and they wouldn't help her at all with it. as well as some dresses that turned out to be fake vintage. ebay wouldn't help. I'm just telling you for your own edification it's not...

I'm looking to sell off a few pieces of gear that have become redundant in my settup. If nobody snaps it up, then I'll go the public ebay route. For sale: Focusrite Trackmaster Pro mic preamp- excellent condition, sat in a rack. It's about 1.5/2 years old max. It goes for about $340 brand new on eba...

Hey everyone! I'm a brand new poster on the site. Alright honestly, I have some gear that I want to sell, but I didn't want my first post to be me selling stuff (I only have one post prior to this one, that I did about 3 minutes ago hehe), so I figured that I'd introduce myself first to show a littl...

Hi, just signed up today, though I've been watching the board for a while. I track out my creations as well because I'm always getting them mixed in a variety of studios both in the states and overseas and I know exactly what you mean about wanting to track songs out with the influence of the other ...
