Re: PUSH stuck in demo mode

Having the same problem. it will power into vegas mode with only the power supply plugged in, I can boot into demo mode with the power supply and FAILSAFE UPDATER mode with just the USB but I can't get any other communication over just USB. I've tried other cables, other ports, other computers. Rein...

Re: APC40 MK2

Problem is that the send banks which can be used to map to audio/midi effect racks are gone. Great performance tool. Fail on Akai's part. I'll buy a used MK1. Are you referring to the Pan, Send A, B, and C? because you've still got pan and now a User mode so you don't miss out on those entirely, bu...

Re: DJing on the fly with ableton

Anyone here regularly drag and drop files into a DJ set using the browser/finder? Multiple clips at a time? I have memories of earlier versions of Live beach balling and the audio glitching on me when doing this and never revisited it for any length of time since. Anyone here trust doing that in a ...

Re: How do you rename a project?

I've always just renamed the project folder and .als files in OS X Finder. Would probably be a good idea to not have that project open at the time.

re:dream wrote:You can have a clyphx script in your template that records the Push scale. When you trigger it again it will set push to the desired scale.
Best workaround so far, this combined with designating a start up scale has been awesome, but at the same time I need to stop writing tunes in G Minor lol

Re: need two simultaneous arming modes, is it possible??

works the same way with audio IIRC, mess with the arm exclusive option and monitor settings and you will find the combination that works.

Re: need two simultaneous arming modes, is it possible??

If you set the monitor to In then you won't have to arm the track for it to receive MIDI

Re: Dual Computer Monitor Idea

I dig it, I have a very similar configuration where my monitor is on the left side at an angle like that and it whas worked great in the past for displaying VST plugins or a finder window but now that Live 9.1 has dual monitor support I feel like I need a third monitor (on the right side) for the VS...

Re: Slice to midi question - Macro control of individual slices.

The slicing preset determines the macros that are mapped to the parent drum rack, you'll probably want those to be cleared and just have macro's mapped on the device in each cell instead. Not sure if you'll be able to achieve this via a slicing preset, I think you may have to set it up manually each...

Re: Slice to midi question - Macro control of individual slices.

you'd have to hit the pad, which selects the slice and then navigate to the right (using arrow keys?) to select the rack within that cell, and THEN you would be able to adjust macros.. so I believe it would be a lot of quickly jumping into the selected cell

I highly doubt it, since Live 9 came out not too long ago.. unless it's 9.5 or something like that? or some other kind of Ableton software?

Re: Export a Midi Clip directly using Drag and Drop possible?

Now that I think of it, when you drag a clip to the browser it creates an ableton clip file and not a standard MIDI file, my bad. Glad you figured something out. Wouldn't it be nice if you could drag a clip to the browser, and hold a modifier key that would change the format from .alc to .midi? FEAT...

Re: Copying from expired Live Trial to the full version?

I'm guessing you've left the trail copy open and haven't closed it so that you can keep your work?
You could try to authorize the full copy while the set is still open, can't guarantee that will work but it's worth a shot.
