Re: Export a Midi Clip directly using Drag and Drop possible?

Have you tried dragging the MIDI clip to the browser and then dragging from the browser into the VST window?

Re: Making Kick Drum

I'm guessing the technique you've heard about is layering multiple kick samples using EQ and compression. What I do a lot is a little bit of both, I'll use a kick sample with a lot of character to the thwack and then layer a synthesized kick for the low end thud. Basically you would probably want to...

Re: Question on Aux/Returns/Bus operations

If only we could have groups within groups.. I realize that might get messy but it would help me a lot with organization because having extra audio tracks or sends can get a bit confusing when opening a project you haven't worked on in a while.

Re: Question on Aux/Returns/Bus operations

There are a couple different options.. First, you could set the output for the group channel and the loop channel to Sends Only and then route them into one of your Return channels, or you could create a new Audio Track and route these two tracks into that track which will serve as a bus.

So I take it that you would only see the channel strip for the selected track? Pretty neat idea, probably never going to happen though

Re: Prepared sets Vs "on the fly" - DJing & Live performance

If you know the tracks in your collection well enough and have played them enough to be familiar with them you'll naturally remember those 3-4 track strings that sound great.. It's almost like when you listen to a really good album over and over and then you hear a single track from the album on shu...

Re: Prepared sets Vs "on the fly" - DJing & Live performance

I only prep my sets for high pressure gigs where I feel like I need to go with mostly original tracks. I don't have a very large catalog of originals and they tend to be in all different keys at a variety of tempos so mixing a cohesive set takes some preparation.. With that said, I usually get half-...

Re: Grrr... Why don't group tracks show up in the browser?

OK, I'll ask a question, how are you saving a group(ed) track in the first place in the browser? I guess I should maybe open the manual now and then eh? Mike I'm guessing that if you drag a grouped track to the browser it would save as a .als, then when you drag it back into a session it ...

Re: saving drum rack for push

When you save a MIDI clip I'm fairly certain that the devices on that channel are also saved, so you should be able to load the MIDI clip into a session with the drum rack ready to go.

Re: excel skin? or something

And we have these little velcro stick-on mirrors on the corner of our computer monitors that work pretty well, I'm not sure why they are there other than to keep an eye on creepy library patrons that are disgruntled about fines on their library card lmao The ones we have aren't as fancy as this but ...
