Re: Just got some isoacoustics stands, wow!

My problem with most all of these designs is that they address decoupling while somehow also dampening or altering the free movement of the specifications of the monitor. I like ceramic china cones and not much else. Only issue with them is that you can't really see midfield speakers as furniture an...

Re: Mastering for AAC - am i doing it right?

Yeah, that's my guess. Short of a true peak limiter, with the codec conversion and the word length truncation, I think you could reveal clipping at anything passed -4db output for 16-bit wave files, with more safety if you're already working in 24-bit. To account for aliasing and intersample peaks (...

Re: Sidechain pops: Does this eat up headroom in a mix?

Probably not any more than the kick itself.
Measure it from the average, RMS, value to its peak signal. See if it's wider range and taller peak than the transient on the kick

Re: multiple simpler rack for push

I wonder if dragging both clips to arrangement, lining them up, and consolidating them before bringing the new clip into a simpler would be a cleaner result? I suspect you would need to meddle with the warp region (Warp as x bars) if they are distinctly different content. I like both approaches. The...

Re: Problems with Polyphylla mod source mapping... Please help!

Good question, Madlab
Maybe someone can give back to the community here and chime in an answer. I think it's warranted that at least one of these M4L pack offerings ha; been tested for performance-CPU spike, stability-not just their results in production.

Re: Push 2 nano review

Good to hear. Tweet it! I too am looking forward to the fluid movement between pads and buttons. It was a criteria I'd look for on a good mixing board-like muting a row of channels-and I'm glad to see its possible for playing the instrument, repeat buttons, soloing and the like.

Re: Push feature requests

1) Banking next 8 track encoders in both Note and Session mode for mixer view and track selection, not just Session Overview pads or cursing over one track at a time. 2) Preview browser and silent pad selecting with shift key to be routed to Cue output (if this hasn't already been addressed 3) Stop ...

Re: Dub Machines

I'm on a Summer 2012 Macbook Pro. These devices are luscious. Nonetheless I make a distinction between things I'll load into a session for producing a track (studio) vs signal processing in a live setting (performance). These devices clearly fall in the studio category for me.

Shortcut/modifier for Next Bank of 8 Tracks?

Hi When I'm in Track/Volume/Pan&Send encoder modes, my selector buttons default to focusing the 1st 8 tracks. Is there a quick way to bank to the next 8 tracks to the right rather than momentarily holding shift/session and choosing the next 8x8 quadrant on the matrix and then switching back to note ...

How can I make live.text visible to Macro range attributes?

I'm wondering if any toggle constructed with a live.text object can offer min/max values that could be adjusted in Live's manual midi or macro assignment? You know how assigning a continuous controller for a native device's i/o opens it up to changing the range of the min/max values such that the sw...
