Re: Waves Kramer Master Tape plug-in

Does this plug-in fit the niche of an exciter? How does it weigh against other dedicated options? Honestly, I a/b'd the settings under a youtube review, as well as watched the 1hr long seminar with it's creator. Granted a highly compressed audio file will not reveal the subtleties of a high res. aud...

Re: Clip Mode Encoders on Audio and MIDI Tracks Blank?

Works now! Can't say what it was. I do notice on occasion that my blank template sometimes won't loop a recent clip at first, for example, maybe because the record button is showing red and not the light red-that sort of thing. I've long since had ableton open with the default template that it comes...

SOLVED: Clip Mode Encoders on Audio and MIDI Tracks Blank?

Hi! When selecting a clip, I see the "Clip Selection:" listed, but above it, none of the encoders list their corresponding assignments in clip mode or do anything. Neither with a warped audio clip nor a midi clip, nor with a short audio file that is intended to auto-warp when it imports. Doesn't mat...

Re: Artillery 2 anybody?

Yes, an unopened unlicensed package or artillery 2 would get you something on eBay.
It's not so much that the effects are new territory, it's more how it's fired or routed through clips. And yes, you could accomplish this through chains and native devices

Re: Insert the names of the scenes in another project

Assuming you don't have any keyboard or midi controls that you'd loose, you could drag the whole track in where the clips resided...that's just off the top of my head...

Re: QuNeo x-y pads

You could try the 2nd generation of KeithmcMillen's foot pad, but it's just like the quneo-the 2-axis are really considered for "tilting": it's more like you have a center and it's feeling the change of pressure as you rock around it.

I know the faderfox LV3 had a couple joysticks...

Re: Artillery 2 anybody?

If you have a midi channel to dedicate to it, along with at least a section of a keyboard, why not? It has some immediate effects that are worthwhile, although I didn't get anything essential beyond the LE version from the Computer Music demo version, and it's pretty light on the CPU...

Re: Blocking Clip Retriggers

Sounds like an interesting project. If you go to maxforlive.com today and look at the whole library sorted by date added, literally today there is a sample loader that will assign one midi note as they come in to a singular sample playback. Not sure if it will retrigger with every hit...bit of a pre...

Re: Blocking Clip Retriggers

Hi Rusty, I have junxtion and I have also tried a number of midi message filters. But not to implement the particular request that you subscribe. There is a paid m4l device called follow that you could try, but you would assign the note to the device itself and it's settings such that the follow act...

Re: Herse - new Max for Live device

You bet, Yorick I'm definitely getting better results with completed tracks (in 4/4). And one way to get effects to come in unpredictably is to use isometrics with your number of steps. This can get really interesting when the probability of each step alters between two note divisions. Even when the...

Re: Herse - new Max for Live device

I have it, and your comparison to Buffer Shuffler is well-founded. The presets and racks are excellent and eye opening, although for the price I think more of the presets could afford to have had the morph feature written in with evolved settings. There are some additional lanes, like the envelope s...

Re: What are your musical aims for 2014?

Break the "it's not ready" bottomless spiral by just getting things out the door. And then finding my most congruent release schedule Approaching a core group of trusted people in my life to get early pre-release opinions Finding venues or parties that work better for me being clean, irregardless of...

Re: Generate a different midi note each time I press a key?

Hi david, Just wanted to get back to you so you wouldn't feel like I left you hanging. But, I'm afraid your particular application does appear well beyond the intended reach of the midi devices and my share of wisdom. 1000+ signals. Limited to 128 different midi notes? So you'd like microtonal optio...

Upgrade, any tips? If you're going to do it, upgrade while they'res a discount. Collect All and Save. Copy the Project Folder completely, right? Backing up's your friend. Yes, indefinitely keep 8 in your application folder. Run just the copy through 9. The engine will upgrade-I forget the pre...
