Re: Are you still using your Live 8 Library with Live 9

This is a pragmatic question. Was Library 8 on an internal or external hard drive when you linked to it? Are you still using the same machine as when you had live 8? Is your music heavily sample-dependent?

Further down on the page they have talk about a number of additional proposed elements, including a motorized fader.

Re: Buying a Push 2 & never used Ableton before ?

Honestly, I think you'd be ahead of the game if you dived in with both. You'd see Live through the lens of how they'd imagine you work on the push, and you'd get good at it quick. This Youtube channel is attempting to walk through the Live User Manual front to back, and she just launched the first c...

sutter, not sure if it's you, but I remember not long ago when Tom announced that he was learning M4L; his first patch even. I wish I could say my skills have progressed at this rate. Tom has an innate genius/expressivity for this stuff

Re: Transient Machines

How would you compare the Transient Machines in features to the transient shaper in Izotope's Neutrino? I have this, and just gave it a first test run, but thought you all might have some insight from the other end. I can tell you that on a restarted 2012 2.5ghz MBP with 16g ram running Sierra insid...

Re: >>>> General PUSH ONE - Answers & Questions

Well I can't get on board with the speculation, but PXT has indeed been the hold-out for moving to 2. But with every update, it's a shot x the bow of PXT and why I'd need it in the 1st place. In my case, I like the user scale (which could be potentially remapped in basic user mode) and cliphx mapped...

Gorgeous. When that reverse reverb drops, my heart sours like a falcon. And I'm not even into the finesse part of the video.
Now off to the sit-in at Adam Yauch park

Re: Adding Additional Vertical Scale Offsets?

Joined a Python workshop on the weekends. First run of changing the Scale settings screen was yesterday, and it broke the whole script. Didn't even show up among native controllers. But I'll keep trying...

Re: Why you still with Livw when we have Bitwig?

A dream for producers, one might argue. But still not a dream for performers. Too many layers of abstraction. Too much mousing about. Robust editing doesn't equal confident, on-the-spot decisions. That, and everything everyone said so far. Believe me, I like to keep an open mind. Maybe Bitwig is the...

Re: Recs to augment Push 2 w/ faders controller for DJing

I'd reconsider the encoders on the PUSH 2. Unless you're talking about mixing externally, which does have its merits in a dj setting, you'd be hard pressed to find faders that have a meter indicator on display as well as RMS. Plus, many new and classic DJ mixers have been rotary. You're still short ...

Re: Is Clyphx the Answer?

Interesting Metastatik, I didn't picture clip snapshots to be reprogrammable. Naturally, I keep a full matrix of them, as options for songs, song sections, etc. I haven't delved into the PPTC, in part because I haven't committed to a controller to manage presets. My Base II is falling under an odd n...

Well thankfully the refund may not be as complicated as I anticipated. In my case, the real stinker is that Revoice is really where it's at for ADR. If I thought I could use Melodyne, I would
