Re: Is Live very CPU demanding?

So there you have a full gambit of perspectives. Only place I'd object is that I find the focusrite drivers satisfactory. Those CPU spikes are telling, however. Some memory leak in a plug-in maybe? Are any in trial mode, maybe bursting signal every 20-minutes? Are you bridging 32-bit versions? Are y...

Re: Revoice Pro Wins Pitch Correction Software Comparison

Hey JL, I'm already a squeaky wheel at your tech support line, as well as on Izotope, but I found it a head scratcher as to why they chose to run a promotion on just vocalign. You think they are planning a round-trip option with their RX suite? I can only guess why they didn't promote your full line...

Re: Stuff in Live you wish you figured out a long time ago

Angstrom, I feel like I'm still using training wheels compared to you. I lean on analog for the very reason that operator gets so deep, and I'm more slapped together, off the cuff, with my synthesis. (I actually think the interface for operator ought to have broken the norm of ableton's design manef...

Re: Novation circuit

Sorry I'm late to the discussion. I too would be interested when they open this up to a dedicated remote script. I was thinking to pick up a circuit to replace my Livid Instruments Base II. http://lividinstruments.com/products/base/ The base pads have had issues since they first released it, and the...

Re: Is Live very CPU demanding?

Not particularly, no. You may find that bitwig is even more efficient, and as you are looking at software with a fresh set of eyes, you might as well see which suits your needs. But in your case, you have more processing headroom and speed than I could only hope to have, and I don't have any problem...

Re: Anyone using QuNeo in Live? Got any tips?

First off, the microUSB cable is a deal breaker. I'm beginning to think that there're no such thing as quality connectors (cable, sure). So go cheap, rather than premium/rugged, and buy multiples as the connection becomes loose, and it will. This is probably a good trade-off: https://smile.amazon.co...

Re: Control Macro via Midi Notes in Clips

Sounds like you need to remap what notes are being sent. If the note lanes need to change independent of each other, you might be talking MaxforLive. There are note remappers, and typically they're used for convenience (moving from a drum rack to an impulse, for example), but could work in your case...

Re: optimising my set for a live thing

Heya, there're so many things you could do to make live set hold water, but I'll focus on the areas of your immediate interest: 1) You could Save As your set to a new folder, and then Collect All and Save. That should ditch whatever media is still in your initial Project Folder. Let me know if I'm o...

Re: Starting Dubspot Next Friday!!!

Very excited for you; I'm sure you'll be able to keep up! Dubspot has hosted some events, although I've never taken a course, nor have I taught there. Practice the modifier keys and work repetitions, so it's more about playing an instrument than it is taxing your brain over what things do. And take ...

Re: Audio clip transposition modulation- risers etc

Nice! Texture clip mode + Clip Transposition (envelope or control assignment)= Strange Frequency Shift And so easy to overlook how effective this is. As for Risers, I'm more "partial" (I'm the class clown of physics for sound) to shepard tone filters, but to tell you the truth, I avoid risers to beg...

Skimmed through this, but why not just disengage that step on the sequencer? No Velocity.

Re: Is there a way to Load VSTS with clips

If you drag or otherwise save a clip into your current session (under places) or into your library, you are effectively saving a Live Clip which retains the contents of the track, i.e. your vst. However, you will need to drag this into empty space in order to create a new track, so if you had a numb...

Re: Problems with Polyphylla mod source mapping... Please help!

hey now that there"s a discount going around could someone with Polyphylla or perhaps Julien comment on the performance stability and cpu budget for this device? What might you compare it to in terms of processing impact?
Cheers!

Re: Outer Spaces

Tarekith, hows the CPU hit when you load it in, play through etc? You have any other devices, native or otherwise, that you would compare the impact? In the Demo video he's anywhere from 7-12% which really isn't bad to work with a playhead moving. But at the same time, the device is on and loaded be...
