I always use playlists and if you drag and drop an album into a play list in the right order it will stay in that order.

I would suggest putting the sound card at the end of the chain and the hard drive in the middle. It worked better for me anyway.

I used 256 for while on live 5 but I was massivly constrained by the amount tracks I had. Moving from that to 1 gig blew my mind. :p

This link may help http://www.simonv.com/tutorials/drum_patterns.php copy the way the guy lays out his instruments and use his wavs in impulse to get you going. I totally forgot about Simon's site. Some great tutorials on there and he makes some very good drum and bass as well. N1 for reminding me!
