My vote would be to use the scene button and the encoder to select scenes, so that the function of that button is still related to the lable thats on it. Also then in that case I think the LED screen should be used to display the scene number. Maybe one of the buttons could be used to rotate through...

Ok I replying here cause I wanna be as much of a help as possible (as I will definitly being using this once done) but still being quite new to the PK I don't know how much help I'll actually be. 8) With that said I think I'm definitly in favour of the fixed value and therefore keeping it simple, as...

Here's a tiny fugly proof video, showing me turning the lights on and on with my mouse - and NO flickering in sight, no weird stuff. Just lights, as it should be: www.thecovertoperators.org/uploads/korgPK01.AVI Nice clip, when the camera moved left I half expected to see "pwned" scroll across the L...

If the venue or should I system has a good engineer then they should know what sort curves & EQ they have set-up the system to have. If you then know what frequencies are boosted etc you can alter your own EQ curve to suit depending upon what you think are the important bits in the stuff that you pl...

I have had this problem even when using vinyl cause a system would have been set up the night before to have some other genre than drum and bass to be played on it and it hasn't be reset.... I would say you just always need to turn up before the gig starts so that you can sound check properly. All s...

I bought a padKontrol cause the lights and XY pad turned me on more than the few sliders and pots on other devices. The pads are very sensitive and you can hit the button anywhere on the pad, you don't have to be centre perfect. Just got the "MackeyKontrol" thing for it set up to which has totally r...

I have been bouncing everything down to wavs and although I'm feeling limited in some respects I'm going to keep on doing it while stilling learning different ways to do a live set. I think that in the future I will want to add more instruments as I get in to the flow of things but I want to start o...

Get a myspace or similar at least, if not a full blown web site that can have a range of things on there like text descriptions, videos and samples of your performances. Showing people what you do is probably a lot easier than telling them. I would work out a brief tag that will not only let you dec...

I have been looking at getting a UC33E to compliment my padKontrol. I'm planning on having all the transport and triggering controls on the korg and then using the UC33E to tweak, volumes, FX cut offs etc. Its this specific purpose that I have in mind which means I have 99% decided to get a UC33E th...
