Re: Best DAW to attract the Ladies ?

Gobbler (http://www.gobbler.com/) makes it easy to share your projects whatever DAW you use.
So you can co-operate with anyone you like online, without them ever having to look at your oily, spotty face.

Because the normalization process won't screw up your carefully planned mix that much.
It won't alter the dynamic range. The compression you added did though.

Yes, just put it after whichever VST is turning the MIDI into noise

Re: iMaschine is out!

Android is great and there are way more powerful devices that ipads/phones etc. Its all about the guys who are making the apps imo. You're right on all counts. So, until Android gets an API that makes it easy to achieve low latency audio, app makers won't bother writing low-level code for multiple ...

Re: MASCHINE MIKRO!!!!!!

No, he's just changing the pitch of a sample in the sample module, which you can do from the controller.

Re: NI Forums...

I agree 100% that NI pulled the plug because Kore wasn't providing a revenue stream. They are, after all, a business. Their communication needs an overhaul too I'd say, after the way they handled getting rid of the deadwood. I'm also aware of NI's business model. With the Maschine crossgrade, I save...

Re: MASCHINE MIKRO!!!!!!

@23kon... You can have 4 VST (or internal Maschine effects) on a pad. Only the first slot on a pad can be your VST instrument (or sample). This means no MIDI VSTs like arpeggiators, scales or chord generators at this time. The last 3 slots can be FX. You can route the audio output of a pad to anothe...

Re: MASCHINE MIKRO!!!!!!

Can you confirm the second part of the answer above? I'm puzzled! So are you saying that parameters within VSTs/Effects cant be assigned to external controllers to be tweaked on the fly for playing live? or can be assigned but can't be recorded (in Maschine software)? And to be able to record autom...

Re: MASCHINE MIKRO!!!!!!

I'm with you. To my mind, mapping the automation to MIDI macros etc would take away the immediacy of the workflow. In any case, Mikro lacks an 'autowrite' button, I can't see any way of recording information from your controller into a pattern in Maschine (you have to click on the outer ring of a GU...

Re: NI Forums...

I've got a slew of updates waiting for me in the Service Center, and if I'm understanding correctly, any of those updates will break compatibility between Kore and that particular piece of software. I'd love to be wrong about this, btw. I think you are, Kore will continue to load the last integrate...

Re: MASCHINE MIKRO!!!!!!

But you can record automation from another controller. A novation Nocturn is a good shout as it has 8 knobs/SpeedDial/Xfader/8Buttons and Automap software allowing you as many pages (in user mode) of 8 pages as you like. Plus it's about the same size as mikro. Maschine only allows 8 macro knobs per...

Re: NI Forums...

That's not your job noob  :D Back on topic; I quite like the Ableton forums because it tends to go 'beyond' Ableton and encompass 'music in general' a lot more than the Native Instruments ones; it is a valuable resource. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here. But as for the crazies; the...
