Bouncing Samples without using CMD+J or Rendering

Hi there, Trying to figure out how I can quickly highlight regions of audio and bounce them out as samples. Rendering takes too long because I have to navigate through several menus to do so...I'm chopping up hours of recorded audio into one shot samples and loops so looking at 100s of samples! In t...

Re: where do all the bad sample packs actually come from??

I had a couple of sample packs, as well as large banks that friends had collected over the years and gifted to me...and yes I found the same thing you are mentioning. Lots and lots of crap. It seemed that a lot of the commercial packs would take maybe 30 samples and just effect the differently (dist...

Re: bipolar automation

I second this. To me it does not seem like it should be difficult to have all clip envelopes default to -100% at one extreme and +100% on the other extreme, and just have the unautomated envelopes reflect the current position of a knob. For some reason it seems that some parameters (pitch bend) do t...

Arrangement View Automation -> Session View Clips

Can this be done? Is there some sort of function like consolidate that will move multiple layers of arrangement view automation into the clip envelopes of a session view clip? This would be amazing, as working with multiple lanes of automation is much more easier in arrangement view.

Holy crap. This seems to be a pretty big recurring issue. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the thread...bloody hell that's a lot of blather to sort through.

Re: Monitoring Latency Question

Alright, so the setting which controls this time delay is the Latency Buffer Size? Hmm...that's unfortunate. I'd hoped there was some other way around it.

Re: Sidechain Question

When selecting the source which is triggering your bassline you should be able to pick a specific drum sample when using drum racks. Not sure about impulse though.

Re: Monitoring Latency Question

Yes, it could definitely be done by a clip. But I want to find a way to do it without being forced to use prebuilt midi clips. I want to be able to play it live.

Monitoring Latency Question

Didn't find any love in the tips and tricks forum so I figured this might be a better spot for this question. Okay...I have a kick and I have a bassline with an arpeggiator on it. If I want to trigger the arpeggiating bass with a midi keyboard, I need to set the channel's monitor to In or Auto. As s...

Re: How to make that synth sound by Jay Sean - Down? (youtube)

so i guess the question is.. is there a synth that can glide/portamento 2+ octaves.. Every synth out there. With the possible exception of ones like Phoscyon which replicate hardware limitations. Adjust the portamento or glide to the appropriate speed, hold down a note at c3 and then hold down a no...

Okay...I have a kick and I have a bassline with an arpeggiator on it. If I want to trigger the arpeggiating bass with a midi keyboard, I need to set the channel's monitor to In or Auto. As soon as I do this, there is a slight delay introduced to the bass and it's not synced exactly with the rest of ...

Re: Live 8.1.1 is online! (change log included)

Hi folks, As for the folder size question: the 8.1 and 8.1.1 installations are entirely independent. Once you've installed 8.1.1 you can safely delete 8.1 without affecting 8.1.1 at all. Live's Library is shared between the installations, and uninstalling a version of Live won't delete its Library ...

Re: Understanding the Drum Rack

Burningfeetman, are the drum VSTs that you want to use multiple copies of multitimbral? That is to say, can a single instance of it produce all the drum sounds you need as long as it is receiving different notes? If so then this should work: 1. Drop a VST onto a new MIDI track 2. Select the instrume...
