Re: Did Sampler get an update?
tbh giving simpler an update will probably be something they try to advertise in ableton standard sales over the holidays. also, either big changes are coming for the sampler or the sampler just has a lot more overhaul so it will take more time to add modernize the rest of the stuff in it... just be...

Re: Soft synths and plugins are so much better than hardware
Hmm... I think this is totally a both ways thing. With modern sound design and even the coloration i can get out of plugins there is no doubt I can create a very analog sound. For instance on Zebra I can make patches that sound very similar to my Moog Voyager. At the end of the day, the VST is certa...

Re: Pros & cons of playing an instrument and knowing theory
its all a matter of who you are... There are musicians who are successful who don't know much theory at all and there are musicians who are successful who live breath and die theory and there is successful musicians everywhere in between. my advice: if your able to gradually build upon your skills e...

Re: 2 Instances of Ableton Live
the better question is how did you even open two instances of live in the first place...
live only allows 1 project to be open at a time. If your opening two Abletons you've corrupted your application in some way more than likely.

Ableton and Chroma Keyboard How I Use it in my workflow
Hello, First let me state, there are a lot of people who use different keyboard than the chroma that can do somewhat similiar things. All thats required is extra buttons on the keyboard and a shortcut creation software for the keyboard which razer isnt the only company to do. However, this is how I ...

Re: A guy redesigned Live's interface
yo... this is a concept... as in he doesn't know what live 10 will contain and he can't just GUI in features that he doesn't know exist as an outside source... he probably put this together in hopes ableton would want to hire him for the job in which he would put a lot more time into it id imagine.....

Re: A guy redesigned Live's interface
i love it love it love it... lives GUI is made to be simple imo and these keeps the simplicity of the objects and elements yet gives it a modern polish. keep in mind a lot of people love Live for its GUI however, so if you were to change the objects and elements such as thin meters or whatever peopl...

Re: Prepping tracks for DJing?
i dont understand. mixed in key isn't a difficult process, i don't know this tom cosm device that you speak of so I don't know the integration/what you need out of mixed in key however. Mixed in key, when used properly will put the key name into the song, ableton doesn't have anything to recognize k...

Re: Kontakt 5.5.1 crash in Ableton?
try running kontakt standalone and load an instrument. Kontakt is known to crash lots of daws until its default library path is established. This is something a lot of people dont read in the NI installer.. after running in stand alone, quit it and run it in ableton, and see if it fixes your problems.

Re: Alchemy now part of Logic Pro X
Nathannn, Yes, it is a VERY complex synth. However, like many synths, as soon as you understand one oscillator and its synth types (in other synths like serum it defaults as wavetable but you can do FM and AM) in alchemy's case it has 7 synth types and different analysis modes that take advantage of...
