Re: Glue Compressor - it's damn good, right?

There's a few ways to do it. since there is no 1:1 setting on the Glue, I usually do it like this: - turn on the 'soft' button - set the range to '0' - that basically say's "Don't compress" - Hit the 'Makeup' Knob - that will drive the signal into the clipper Of course, I always forget about the ra...

How do you do this? Is it like using an 1176 on 1:1 ratio and driving the input to add distortion??

Glue Compressor - it's damn good, right?

Hi everyone, Recently I've been going through an exercise to cut down FX plugins and learn certain ones inside-out. I've sorted my choice for EQ, Reverb and Delay and now I'm looking at compression. Anyway, I was testing Glue Compressor against a variety of Waves plugins: Waves CLA-76 Waves CLA-2A W...

Re: About Compression and Kick Drum layering

A couple of compression tips from me, even if they may not answer your question that well :) In general terms, small amounts of compression in chains are better than slamming something. Eg. Small amount of compression on a snare, drum bus with very small amount of parallel compression, master bus wi...

Re: When and When Not to Use Reverb in a Return Track

Having recently been experimenting with a lot of reverb sends, I've been using a snare style gated reverb. I still use the traditional long/short sends too, but so far this gated verb has so far managed to universally add a real polish to the sounds sent to it. It's like the first time you discover ...

Which is also present in a lot of the new midi controllers (Arturia range & new Kork Taktile range)

P.S. not complaining, trying to help improve it :) Love my Push

Re: Feature Request: Built-In Arpeggiator

why for if you have the Arp Midi effect? Fair question. The ableton arp has a huge delay unless you insert it in another channel, then route the midi. The swing can only be changed to something less obvious than the set swing (often needed for dance music) if you adjust the global quantise amount, ...

Feature Request: Built-In Arpeggiator

Hi Ableton!

Any plans to implement a built in arpeggiator that transmits midi data?

Many midi controllers have this (Impulse, Axiom, MPK Series etc) and I would love to see it as part of Push!

That's all :)

Re: DIVA, Sylenth and Mini V - Inside Push

Thanks Stevie,

Do you have a solution / product that would allow me to navigate the presets I have made / 3rd party preset banks?

I own Sylenth, Diva and Mini V (they're my go to synths, so the above is good news :))

cheers

Re: Beyond saving preset racks - internal VST preset navigation

Yeah I think your guess is right. I was grappling with the same problem and the only solution I've found is to save each preset onto a rack (which I started then got bored of) or get them from someone who's already made them (I started with Queglay's audiomodder then got some more elsewhere). I pai...

Beyond saving preset racks - internal VST preset navigation

Hi guys, Quick question – I know you can map external VSTs and their presets by saving each sound as a rack in the user library, but is there a way to browse presets without having to load the instrument each time? Specifically, Sylenth, can I somehow map the internal preset navigation rather than h...

Re: Arturia V-Collection or Key Lab 25 (with Analog Lab)??

I've been reading a lot about some fairly serious issues people are having with the software and Arturia's renowned lack of support / saying anything in general. Specifically with Analog Lab, I have Mini V already and that works fine (although it did crash my Ableton session yesterday for the first ...

Arturia V-Collection or Key Lab 25 (with Analog Lab)??

Hi Guys, I can never have enough analog emulation presets. I'm an accomplished synth programmer but I don't mind admitting that I use presets extensively in the composition / inspiration phase. There's no real 'right' answer to this question, but which do you think is a better option? V-Collection c...

Electronica.... and a big reese

Hi guys, in between EPs I've made a few free tunes, here's the first:

The next one (coming next week) is more of a Techno / Indie House vibe.

Hope you enjoy it!
