Re: Help! Controller not recognised and have gig shortly :(

thanks dude, a bit of investigating showed that somehow (god knows how) the entire mid remote script folder for F1 had been deleted!

Have re-downloaded it and installed, all is good in the world.

Help! Controller not recognised and have gig shortly :(

Hi guys, hoping you can help. I use a kontrol F1 using this mapping to navigate ableton clips: https://github.com/trash80/AbletonTraktorKontrolF1/tree/Live9.1 I've just loaded it my performance template and Ableton is not recognising the F1. I'm going to have a look into this myself but given the ur...

Re: Creative FX chains and show us your sends!

I mostly do this with Racks in Live, here's mine: http://tarekith.com/assets/TarekithDJEFXv9.zip They basically mimic a send type of set up, with the first knob of all the racks being a wet dry control. Most of the newer ones the first knob is actually two sends. The signal is dry at with the knob ...

Re: Creative FX chains and show us your sends!

One thing I did in the past, inspired by some of the all in one sets people sometimes offer, is using the xfader in conjunction with some return channels being set to pre-fader. It can be messy business if you do not keep your actual fader consistently at zero, Or map both your fader from -inf - ze...

Re: Creative FX chains and show us your sends!

That does sound fun! Although, yep, not sure about how useful it is :) Inserts - I've found a nice way to make stabs in 4x4 trendy house sound interesting. 3 chain FX rack: 1 dry 2 reverb with resonator (toggling between the standard ableton presets to see which vibe suits the sound best) 3 LFO'd ba...

Creative FX chains and show us your sends!

Hi guys, I’m really keen to hear about some creative insert FX chains you’re using and also what your template send channels are made up of? Interested in both fairly functional ones through to crazy morphing shit! I’m looking to get much more creative with sends as I’ve been using the same reverb a...

Re: Sylenth, BCR2000 & little old me

Not restricted to 8 controls: Use 1 BCR2000Control device for 1-8 controls and add any number of BCR2000Control devices for >8 controls of the same (e.g. complex plugin) device. Sounding good. Could you explain this section a little further - is this saying that i have to select a different bank fo...

Looks interesting, is this emulating bluehand control essentially?

Re: Sylenth, BCR2000 & little old me

Or perhaps a Launchcontrol? Smaller imprint, Automap easier, but no LED feedback :(

Sylenth, BCR2000 & little old me

Hi guys, I searched around and found a number of threads on using a BCR2000 to control Ableton itself, but I'm looking to map the BCR2000 to sylenth - most importantly, so that I can use multiple instances and the LED feedback changes as I navigate between each instance. I did a number of searches b...

Emulating Push's 4 banks of encoder controlled parameters

Hi guys, I’ve been reading up on Push and it’s navigation of 3rd party plugins (save an instrument rack, then configure up to 32 controls – 4 banks of 8 for the Push encoders). Is there a way to do this with another controller other than Push? I have an LPD8 which is currently controlling 8 controls...

MIDI mapping, multiple instances

Hi all, If I midi map the major controls of a given soft synth to knobs and sliders on a midi controller, these are hardwired to control that specific instance of the synth. How can I transfer this so that they control the same parameters on another instance in a different channel (so as I arm the t...

Re: TOUCHABLE 2 - First teaser video

Hi guys / Chris,

Can you confirm whether we'll be able to select and view each clip (as in, you can see the waveform and where it's at for playback progress), other than just the progress bar in standard session view?

cheers!

Re: Akai LPD8 Instant Mapping files (free Download)

Same problem, can't find the folder for User Remote Scripts with Live 9 I spoke to Ableton support and Live 9 already has an LPD8 mapping that comes with it. You don;t need this script, just select LPD8 from in the midi preferences and you;re good to go. Full bluehand control and first 8 cells of d...

Re: Recommended 'bedroom studio' setup

You have everything you need! Synths & FX - check Audio Interface - check Headphones or Monitors - check Decent computer - check you're good to go! You seriously have more here than almost any beginner. I would spend as much time learning how to make tracks as you're setup is already strong. Any add...
