Re: VST Preset Reset to init issues.

Thanks Stas, that's an excellent point to consider. I'll take that into consideration while testing, and try to do a before/after update.

Re: VST Preset Reset to init issues.

Oionka, let's see if we can figure out exactly what circumstances produces this bug, so we can get it submitted to Ableton. I hate this bug. I always thought it was an FXPansion problem previously.

Re: Gee, I wonder who designed this website...?

Lol. I can't wait until the next ableton website design. It was fun trying to re-find this link: Who to blame http://edenspiekermann.com/en/blog/an-all-new-ableton Now that we've all given up on the sanctity of Ableton.com pre October 2012, they really should redesign their site again. Perhaps that ...

VST Preset Reset to init issues.

Does anyone else have this issue, and know why? I end up sending a lot of tracks between home and work, and to a friend via Copy and Dropbox. Often times, everything transfers nicely. Sometimes however, I open my .als, and find that most of my 3rd party VSTs have reset to their init patch. It happen...

Re: I click Sidechain, & now there's static, clicks, and popsHELP

Is it random clicking, or is it clicking that follows the kick transient? This will answer whether its hardware related, or parameters. If it's random, then try increasing your buffer size in the audio settings. This will probably fix you. If it's in good time with the kick and doesn't change, try a...

Re: REQUEST: Midi Remote Scripting .py training

Thanks for the note Dr Loop, It's worth considering if this doesn't take off at all, but it gives me a good excuse to become more familiar with .py (which is something I'd like anyway, as lots of other cool toys use it too), and I'd prefer to use everything in it's native form. That said, Live treat...

[FOUND] REQUEST: Midi Remote Scripting .py training

NOTE: I just wanted to update this without bumping it, that I've found a trainer, and he's kick ass. Live .py scripting, here I come!!! (finally) Hi, I'm wondering if someone might be interested in doing some paid training in writing .py scripts. I haven't done much .py programming, but am fluent wi...

I thought I was using version 3.2, but I found the code you were referencing in version 1.3?

It would be cool if you could edit your first post with the current source code :)

Re: How to : use midi remote script Major Update (sparkle)

Hey Raz, Tonight I tried to get the BCR-808 going, but I couldn't make things rocking. I tried following your suggestions, but started getting lost when talking about the PAT, SEQ, TUNE, BANK stuff. Specifically, the parts of the code that you were recommending changing: def bank_button_value(): do ...

Angstrom, thanks for the notes on the Saturator. It's an effect I don't understand very well, and as such often overlook.

Re: How to make Adv files (Ableton Device Presets)

Crazy Nuts,
You can just drag a devices name area back into your library to save it. There is also a disk you can use.

However, what you are likely more looking to find out, is how you can save those presets with an audio preview.

Sadly, this is a mystery. It sucks.

Re: Does anyone ever use Live's built-in synths?

As everyone here says, I agree that Operator is pretty boss. If you aren't into programming the synths though, you are better off with 3rd party stuff. Lots of people mention Sampler as a good synth -- but I'll even go so far as to say Simpler makes a great sound machine too, even though it doesn't ...

Re: How to : use midi remote script Major Update (sparkle)

I spent some time tweaking the code to install the Live Telnet script, and started working on getting the code hooked up for BCR, but didn't get very far. I was actually messing with the BCR again this past weekend (fixing some internal hardware issues) and was going to start writing code again toda...
