Re: Viewing Ableton Forum on the iPhone and Android

+20? Seriously though, can this be re-addressed? I almost started a new thread for it, but thought I'd just necrobump this one, as perhaps it is more relevant a year later. Viewing the forum on your iPhone or Android is lame. I think it would be really awesome to have Tapatalk compatibility, or some...

Re: .als files. From PC to other PC.

What version of Live are you currently using? I feel like I remember that being a problem with a past release, and was fixed in the future? Me and a friend share via Dropbox and typically don't have that problem, but it could also be caused by the individual plugins if not Live. Is it all plugins? O...

Re: getting logged out of forum

It used to just be when checking between the forum and the blog, now it's even between posts sometimes on the forum lol. I wonder if they are trying to fix the first problem, and introduced a slew of new ones?

Re: Studio Setup ideas?

This might sound stupid, but don't overlook it. Make sure you have a comfortable chair. Ever since I've put a proper office chair in my studio, I can't stay out of the room. It doesn't cost much, and might make the difference between sitting another 5 hours in your studio or not one day. :prepares f...

Sweet links. I finally just started using reddit about a month ago. I didn't even think to look for edm related subreddits. Thanks!

Re: Live 8.3 FTW!

yes they are a proper business, which means that they don't always make decisions that I'm supportive of, and sometimes they do. True that. Did someone just say Final Cut Pro? :) like new/more shortcuts, more colours etc.. And true this too. Back on topic to the subject of thoughts on 8.3, I gave t...

Re: Thoughts on Ableton Live 9 and Share

I'm actually curious as to how responsible software companies are when it comes to false advertising....
Congratulations! You've won 10 free iPads for life!
:) Obviously slightly different situation --- but that was my first thought :)

Re: Thoughts on Ableton Live 9 and Share

Share Live Sets Ableton were smart to add a ‘Share Live Set’ functionality to version 8. For many years producers have been emailing and Rapidsharing Ableton live sets to each other, but the new feature makes thing faster and more stable. Share also includes the ability to set access permissions so...

Re: Will you use Automatic Updates in 8.3?

I guess this is probably somehow related to copy-protection schemes, having the application making a call home should be quite useful for checking if a copy is legit or not. Or the other way round: A pirated copy will try to avoid to make this call home, and thus might be easy to implement somethin...

Re: Live 8.3 FTW!

Yeah, business is good for everyone. How about selling advertising space on the useless empty clip-space on the return channels? Could be a fantastic "feature" for Live 8.4. I don't understand why people feel so burned by Ableton over the Soundcloud integration? When you bought Ableton Live 8, you ...

Re: Live 8.3 FTW!

Twitter integration would possibly create an annoyance for many followers. I vote no on that. Twitter support for Live is ridiculous; lol of course :) Perhaps I should have used the quote feature on pepzabala's humorous list of what Ableton user's want -- I certainly wasn't suggesting it for real, ...

Re: Changing Individual Clip Quantization

First and foremost, read chapter 12: Launching Clips of the Live Manual. This should explain everything you are asking about in a very straightforward manner, specifically: 12.3: Clip Launch Quantization, and 12.6: Follow Actions Alternatively, perhaps this link will be helpful to you. http://www.so...

Re: Audio Export Longer than MIDI Clip

It sounds like it has to do with the warp settings, and Live expecting a full 4 beat clip. You might need to check on where your warp points are hitting, or depending on what this audio is for, perhaps you could remove warping entirely (you will lose ability to easily loop it). I guess a quick solut...
