Live Crashes when Rendering or When Putting Track in Record

Hello, we are running Live on a Macbook Intel Core 2 Duo with OS X 10.4.11. We are having this problem in BOTH Live 7.0.1 and 7.0.2. {Update: just tried Live 6... same issue.} It started when we tried to render a track today. After we set it up and clicked OK, Live immediately crashed. No note came ...

So, I've figured out what was going on with the master volume level issue. The RCA"Record Out", even though it's supposed to mimic the Master, has a significantly lower output level than the Main XLR or Booth Quarter inch outs. I guess maybe they do this so if you're really recording out of the rca...

Thanks for the review-ish thoughts. I'm really trying to gather opinions on these things. Overall, it seems the positives outweigh the negatives, and no piece of gear is perfect. I'm leaning towards definitely picking up the Zero8. In regards to your gripes, I would think the first one could be sol...

1st off, for the past 3 weeks I've been using the Zero4 with my Macbook Pro and Ableton Live when I play out and it's absolutely tits. Tons of fun. I use all 4 channels in Audio/midi mode, mixing the seperate tracks from Ableton as if I was using a traditional dj mixer or mixing desk and assign the...

Can you point me in the direction of some particular ensembles? Just names will do, no links required or anything like that.

Thanks in advance.

I've weeded my library down to about 700 things 8O 8O Weeded down to 700!! Geez... I've never spent enough time with my Reaktor. I've downloaded some things here and there. I still have no clue how to build something (don't think I ever will). But what is included and what I have downloaded are som...

Anybody using the Zero8 and have any new comments/thoughts?? Also, does anyone have a link to the Future Music review? I missed the print edition, but would very much like to read what they had to say. Right now, I'm torn between the Zero8 vs. a comination of the Mackie Control Universal Pro and the...

Well, I'll say a little something against the MPD24 here. I haven't ever played the PadKontrol, so I can't compare the two, but I can say if you're thinking the pads on the MPD wil be great because of the MPC's, then think again. I had the MPD24, but sold it because it killed my fingers, and, yes, I...

So, am I right in assuming that the Zero8 can't control more than 8 tracks? In other words, if it is just being used as a MIDI controller, and I've got 9 tracks in my session, what happens with the 9th track? Can I bank over like with the Mackie Control stuff? Thanks in advance for any responses. I...

Tim Hecker is the shit! Glad to see him get a mention. Always lots of disto, decimation, etc., going on with his stuff. Of course, it is the stuff that is buried underneath all that static that makes his music so memorable.

Operator's presets are pretty limp, but the thing itself can shred yr speakers easily. Just tell it to do what it doesn't think you want to do. +1 Perfect description of Operator. Also, if you haven't tried the lessons, do so. Some of them will give you a good starting off point, then follow John's...
