Actually LYT sells a great flight case for this board. I'll probably get one at some point.

Re: The Ableton Pedalboard

Thanks. Some of this stuff is so complicated that it's hard to find a place to start when writing it up. I'l post back here when I get a video of the looping setup. It's something that should really be a video and not written word.

I wrote a comprehensive description on this problem here: http://vedanamedia.com/2015/01/ableton-pedalboard/.

Just jump down to the PC automation section to download the script.

Re: Embedding Live set (including M4L) on a chip

A couple of months of work and I have finished building an Ableton Pedalboard. It's an Ableton Live-Powered pedalboard that just has an on-off switch. Throw it on the stage, turn it on, play set 1, play set 2, unplug and take home. Works great! Complete write-up is here: http://vedanamedia.com/2015/...

Re: How to scan for a child device in a track, including racks?

Excellent answer. I was trying to make a more generic function to find all children given the id of a track, device, or chain, but realized I was spending too much time on a little problem and punted to just work per track.

Thanks!

Re: How to scan for a child device in a track, including racks?

Arg!! it doesn't work because diving into a rack's chains breaks recursion because there is no storage of stack frames. Wow, a fundamental gotcha of Max. Anyone else know a way to do this? I could figure out a way to store each parent's list of child id's as a stack frame but hopefully there is an e...

How to scan for a child device in a track, including racks?

I am trying to figure out a way to scan for a certain device in a track. Match type + name would be ideal, but just type or just name would also work. Thoughts?

I could pick through this myself but am wondering if anyone else has already figured out a cleaner way to do this.

Thanks!

Thanks for giving this a shot! It sounds like you need it for exactly the purpose it is made for. It looks like I did forget to add the pk_looper_channel.maxpat file to the thread post. Push stops working when connected to MS Remote Desktop?

I have a headless PC that works great with Push and my RME FireFace UCX. But when I connect to it via MS Remote Desktop, Push freezes. If I disconnect it and reconnect it, it just says to start Ableton Live to play. If I log in again (not rebooting, just clicking the username and typing the password...

Re: Smallest comp to run Live on a pedalboard?

Well, the board is finally built (rather involved power supply project) and most of the PC config is done. Lots of Windows automation scripting. So far it looks great, and no line noise! Lessons learned and blog post to come soon. Will post back. Peace
