1. New Live set 2. Insert 1 midi track and 1 audio track 3. Drop your VSTi into the Midi track and name the track Stylus 4. In the Audio track, in the routing section, for the INPUT drop-down, select the Stylus. In the INPUT sub-drop-down (just below the INPUT drop-down) you will now see all the ou...

Previewing Audio - Questions

I was trying to use the preview audio (in Live's file browser) to check out some reference mixes while doing my own mix. 2 questions: 1) Is there a way to disable previewing in the same tempo of the set? 2) How do you stop the preview from playing? I could not find a way ... Thanks for taking time.

can we edit clips in the clip view?

just making sure ...it seems that the only way to edit actual audio content is in the arrangement view not in clip/session view? i am talking about cutting, moving etc. if this is so - is there a logical reason why this is so ...or is maybe something that is still on the way feature-wise? it sure wo...

using arrangement and session together

i am new to live. and have been pouring over the docs and learning through trial and error. much is making sense. one thing that i am trying to do (coming from more trad daws) is edit audio that i record fluidly. i love the session view and am spending most of my time there. but then i get some audi...

laptop - 5400 rpm OS - 7200 rpm audio sufficient?

your opinions on how important it is to have a 7200 rpm drive for the os as well as a 7200rpm external audio drive? i will definitely get an external 7200rpm drive where all the audio files, projects, etc will reside. the question is whether having a 5400rpm drive internally in the laptop will be a ...
