Re: Good studio monitors for EDM music?

KRK Rokit 8 series or the Yamaha HS8 are both good, I would go for the Yamaha's. I have a set of Adam A7's but I saved for them and bought them a good few years ago. The 8 inch cones for the Adams are bit out of your budget tho, that's why I would go for the HS8's. Oh yeah, you wouldn't need 8 inch ...

Re: midi signals not being converted into sound

Hi wolfram1947, As Richie Witch said, you have to load an VST instrument onto a midi track and either arm the track or set the track monitor section to in , in order to hear the VSTi play. The APC Key 25 won't play any sound until you do one of the two things I mentioned. The hardware isn't a synth ...

East West , as mentioned, has a great library. You can even type lyrics and the software will sing it!
I checked the East West Hollywood Choir out and it sounds amazing, very expensive tho.

Re: How to mix 1 track into another

As Bombastic said, Session view is the view to use. Read up on how to warp your tracks and DJ-ing with Live, a lot of fun. Finding and doing tutorials would be a better way to go. A midi controller like an APC-40 or 20 are good to use for this kind of thing as they have cross-faders on with some dif...

Re: Good synth plugins other than Serum and Massive?

I got the Hybrid with the Air collection when I bought the MPC Touch. I quite like all of them to be honest. Omnisphere 2 is my go to synth tho. Reacktor 6, sub-boombase are a couple more that I use. I suppose in the end it all depends on what I feel like using at the time.

Re: New Akai MPCX and MPC Live

I've got an MPC Touch (I got it before the 'Live' and 'X' came out). I love it. Yes the workflow was a bit fiddly, but the software is getting better and better and I use it on stage and in production.

Re: Is anyone here still rocking vinyl ?

Yeah I still use Vinyl. Where I'm from I'm known for playing early 90's dance music in the clubs. Things like Asha - JJ tribute, Helicopter - On ya way, K-Klass - Let me show you to name but a few............... all on vinyl, I love it, always will.

Re: Failing to open audio device (interface)

Sorry, Pinsonic, I forgot, it was my AKAI EIC audio interface that needed the ASIO4ALL driver. It's the Focusrite ASIO driver that's working for me on my 2i2 gen2 interface.

Re: My Best/Worst Purchases

NI's Kore 2 - I loved this thing but then NI went and discontinued it!! The bums!! it still works just fine to this day, and is still the best featured control surface for VST. we make much better templates for Kore than they do for NKS... getting hard to find, though... Please forgive my ignorance...
