where do i get some taiko, woodblock, koto etc? my keyboard has em but it sounds cheesy and unrealistic. would really like many more instruments in the Instrument Rack. (free stuff only please) Try the freesound project, there you will find most of what your looking for on there. p.s, learn to use ...

where do i get some taiko, woodblock, koto etc?
my keyboard has em but it sounds cheesy and unrealistic.
would really like many more instruments in the Instrument Rack.

why not? you can first check if the file is good for anything by moving it (such as to the recycle bin), and checking in ableton if anything is different. if not, delete the facker!

where to put all these .dll files for added instruments?

i just extracted a bunch of share/free ware vsts and instruments, but confused as heck where to put them. i'd like more instruments to show up in the Instrument Rack, but the files in that folder are not dlls...

ok, got it. i just had to think of the keyboard as any instrument. took the patch cable out of my bass and into the keyboard so it records audio the same as any guitar. voila, perfect. now it works as a midi AND audio instrument, for joy!

what does it matter what the specifics of a sound card are? i truly don't know this. AFAIK, all a SC needs is a midi-in, mic, line-in and speaker-out, and i'm happy. :D 30$s gets u what u need!
