LED's of the type in Push don't generally burn out over time, so no real harm leaving on overnight - in fact something to be said for leaving it turned on extends the life as you avoid the cooling down/warming up thermal contraction/expansion cycles which actually impacts the life of electronics the...

turning off 'Select on Launch' on the Launch preference page might help - lets you trigger a clip on Push without the page jumping to the clip

the problem with the Macbook for audio applications is no active cooling, so sustained high CPU activity will cause the CPU to throttle down (as there are no fans to switch on to cool things down) which will likely cause click and pops and other audio nasties the Macbook is fine for general activiti...
