Global Reverb Setup question...?

Right so when i produce, like alot of people, i set up a few reverb sends. Generall a short reverb for drums, a slightly bigger reverb for snares / claps or any other misc stuff that wants it... and a HUGE reverb for things like leads or SFX I make techno / trance / house and what i would like to kn...

Re: Background "Riser" sound

The sound is white noise through a flanger with no movement. Adjust settings till you get the low hollow tubey sound. Then resample or bounce down a few seconds of it then import the resulting audio file into a sampler, set the pitch bend range to 12 in the sampler then just play it in raising the ...

Re: Background "Riser" sound

Its quite a rush the 3.15 sound. Sounds like a saw pitch bending up with a bandpass filter cut off sort of tracking the slope of the pitch bend. Theres also a high depth sine lfo modulating the pitch. And then another voice comes at maybe a fifth higher. I am listening a phone so could be wrong, bu...

Re: Background "Riser" sound

Hi Could this be it ? UES SweepMachine http://www.ultimatesoundbank.com/produits/USB/UVISC16/images/electro-suite_UES_sweep-machine.jpg Is the only tool ever dedicated to create noise sweep. As for all the Electro Suite instruments, it's ultra easy to use: just trigger a MIDI note, select one of th...

Background "Riser" sound

There is alot of risers going on at the moment in dance music. I love them all. They are quite frequently, in your face, distorted, loud ever increasing pitch bends. But recently i am hearing quite mild ones. The trademark is it is very hollow sounding. My educated guess is that its just some form o...

Re: BIG Clap/Snare Reverb...

gated reverb, just put a gate ater a huge reverb, and use sidechain to trigger it, adjust sidechain synth lenght to the lenght of reverb you need Any chance for a slightly more detailed description? For some reason i can't follow these instructions 1. What kind of huge reverb? Something like a cath...

Keeping my library with new Ableton versions?

Here is a possible issue that I never considered before.. As like most of you, i am sure, i save alot of stuff into my ableton library. My own presets for Ableton instruments/FX etc Then that library i save into my own hard drive with the intention of building on it over the years Now i just updated...

Re: Will ram help CPU...

it would be beneficial for your operating system and it might help relieve some CPU load from your other VSTs and such, but it will not help Ableton Live directly. until Live is 64 bit it will not [directly] benefit from systems running any more RAM than you already have. Live can only use 4GB of R...

Will ram help CPU...

Hey guys So i searched for this, but it always seems to return contradictory answers. It also seems to be different for each case. I use ableton 8. I use 100% software. I tend to have 10+ 3rd party VST synths and LOADS of 3rd party FX for each tune. I also use tons of samples/loops that get pulled o...

Re: Embaressing "mono" question

The original mono sample is mono no matter how you pan it in the project you're working on. In case you want to bounce your mono drum sample and still keep it's panning position, you have to bounce it in stereo, which makes the outcome...well stereo. Ok thanks... so with the advice i follow that "y...

Embaressing "mono" and bonus question

Considering i been in the business proffessionally for 6 years now, I feel extremely ashamed to ask such a idiotic question Mono - we all know what mono means.... but lets say i take for example, a mono snare, and pan it left.... it doesnt have any stereo spread. But it isn't playing center either, ...

Re: Saw Bass tips please!

They are both what is called a 'Reese Bass' which is traditionally 2 saw oscs detuned from each (id recommend the ocs are set to restart their phase for most bass sounds) other played down low with a low pass filter applied and enveloped/modulated to taste. as for after effects id say overdrive of ...
