Re: I almost bought Logic Pro

its good or better than live for mastering and compiling albums. And for mixes with sample precise automation.. you can use dedicated controlers with motor faders and export and import protools projects.

So its not all useless..

Max for live should really have a free runtime
Macs are better than Windows machines

and logic/cubase productions sound better than ableton live productions?

or am i the only one that missunderstands you so badly? it seems,yes... you and dfhgs...just like in the audio illusions thread, there seems to be a general disconnect that leads to irrational posts ??? oh wow.. irrational post to point out that one can hear dither in the adequate software and hard...

Re: All this about sound quality

So all your audio perfection claims just could refer to the actual state because just a few betas back all you "ther is no ableton sound problem" guys was proven wrong allready..just check the latest change logs. this is the problem you see. nowhere do I say there is audio perfection and that is ex...

Re: Audio Illusions _ Diana Deutch

Have any of you heard of the so called 'dither' effect? It's an option in most modern DAWs, but in reality, it hasn't been doing anything since 1986! not true.. on a fixed point arithmetic protools system you clearly hear the difference between the different noise shapings when dithering down to 16...

Re: All this about sound quality

For those completely lacking any sense of humour or irony I. it pretty typical that a person that is so sensetiv towards personal insults like you has a very insulting "humor". And that mobbing aproach you share with other fans makkes such threads noisy.. When ther wouldnt be any discussion demand ...

Re: All this about sound quality

I will never ever undestand people buying a software just for ranting after it again and again, over and over. User makes the sound! Don't blame the machine, rather blame the man. thats not true fore electronic music and especially for digital recording systems. And daw´s have improoved during the ...

Re: All this about sound quality

Gotta quote our own Angstrom here, from one of the other threads on this endless fight, because it's simply the best response I've ever seen to this hilariously tired issue, and should probably show up in every such thread from here on out --- some examples of transference "Live has bad sound quali...

Re: All this about sound quality

erm. well done on the humour comprehension. Good to see you are still rocking the weak insults. Try this one. - Knock knock! - who's there? - This doorbell is summing not as well as my yamaha dmc 1000 which can apply 100 channels of doorbell all at the same time with no detectable loss of quality A...

Re: All this about sound quality

One thing I have noticed ... My guitar playing sounds really terrible in Ableton!!! I'm not sure if its the warping or the summing, but everything I play sounds cliched and derivative. Almost as if a sausage fingered buffoon were playing it!!! Ableton sort this out immediately ! etc. also, upvote A...

Re: All this about sound quality

I know what it's like to feel scared, alone, and frustrated. I sympathize with you Newboss. Life is hard enough, right? There is help out there. There are self help groups, books, and religious organizations. Or better yet, join a gym. I think I can speak for the whole Ableton community when I say,...

Re: Limiter or Lower Track Volume in Automation?

Well, It's happening again and it's time to have a refresh on best practices out there... I have a Guitar Solo track recorded with FX that has a very dynamic output. It is a distorted solo line. It starts quietly and becomes loud at the end of a long phrase especially on MID Frequencies. It disturb...
