any audio coming in through rewire can be recorded easily. then you've got the .wav(s) and you can ditch the rewire connection if you like

they are modular though. the baseline model doesn't come with a touchscreen, encoders, or faders. so presumably if one of those modules broke, you could just unplug it to send off for repairs and the machine would still work without it edit: oops, i think i'm talking about the neko workstation, not ...

well, i don't know how helpful this will be, but in my limited experience with the bcf2000, i think you should stick to using mackie control mode in ableton, rather than making a template set with custom midi assignments. that way it will work with any set you have open, whether it was created with ...

even though it's in the arrangement view, i think you should still consider it to be a clip and just remember that if you fire a clip in a session track, that you will no longer hear what's on that arrangement track until you press the back to arrangement button. so if you just want to play sounds o...

also, check in you preferences and make sure that live is not automatically warping your new tracks to complex mode. get 9 tracks going like this and i think your cpu would be feeling it

i hit this thread searching for bcf2000 - i just got one today and am trying to figure out the best way to use it i would say that the mackie emulation on the thing will not do anything beyond what the pdf says. by manually programming it you can get way more usable features (mostly because of havin...

(or, clicking on the arrow just to the left will bring up the properties inside the clip view window, instead of the vst's fancy screen)

maybe your controller is leaking midi info? so the program always thinks you are changing the value even when you're not touching the slider?

try recording the automation, then disconnect the controller in the midi mapping. then see if the RTA light still comes on when you play it back.

i read a really scathing review of a cme, i believe on harmony central. i'm dying to try playing a stage88 or a studiologic vmk-188 to see what they feel like (i like the electro 2 sounds a lot, but i don't really care for the feel of the organ-oriented keyboard - i would play mostly the rhodes on it)

from music xp The only time that the "Standard PC" mode can be recommended with XP, is when you are experiencing audio card or other problems (possibly relating to IRQ sharing/stacking), and only when you have exhausted all other possible causes. If you have one of the more modern motherboards that ...

man, i'd read as much as i could about acpi vs standard pc before deciding to go the standard pc route. for one thing, iirc you can go acpi-->standard but if you don't like it, you can't switch back.
