yes for some reason i was trying to save into a project folder. just had to move the folder will all the projects somewhere else. worked fine this way in 7 though, weird.

ok it will create a new project when i save something to the desktop but not where i keep all of my live sets. what has changed between v7 and v8 about saving projects?

as far as i know, i cannot create a project in any manner.

when i save a new version of a set to another location, the manual says live creates a new project for it. this doesnt occur for me.

when i save a new set from scratch live does not create a new project folder for it

the "create project" button is grey'd out in the browser window

you could save a whole set as a single grouped track of all the tracks and drag that in from the browser.
