Re: Experienced user- problem revealed by latency test - readme

Note at the beginning of the clip with the red title "25 2-Audio-1", there's a brief fade-in indicated. It's kind of hard to see behind the text. Check the "Create Fades on Clip Edges" setting in the Record/Warp/Launch tab of the preferences.

Re: Live 8 Suite Boxed to Live 9 Suite, what about the Library?

The Live 9 library contains most (maybe all?) of the same content as the Live 8 library. However, additional features have been added to the clips, presets, etc. and they've been reorganized to fit the new browser structure in Live 9. So basically, yeah, to take advantage of the new features of Live...

Re: 9 arrangement madness! is it a bug?

Don't know what to say. It's working fine here. I can copy & paste clips into the same track in both session and arrange views using key commands, right-click (context) menu, main menu, and drag-and-drop.

Re: Happy with Live 9?

Yep. I'm a happy upgrader, too. Yes, I'm having to adjust my workflow to some of the changes, and I'm hoping that future updates will smooth over some rough spots, but there's nothing stopping me from making music with Live 9 right now. I'm confident things will get better over time, and I'm OK with...

Re: Free MacPro video

I just watched this. It's a series of high quality videos that do a really good job of explaining and demonstrating what's new in Live 9. If you're still on the fence about whether to upgrade or not, these videos might help you make up your mind.

Re: Official Release More Crashy than the Beta?

Can someone tell me what the latest build number is? I don't know about "latest", but the version I have that's been mostly stable on my MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6.8 is "9.0.1 Build: 2013-02-26_c8dda62c6a 32-bit" Also, I cant for the life of me find where the crash reports are stored. Try "/Users/<...

Re: Is anybody else having trouble with credit card transactions

Okay, I called my bank and they didn't trust a charge from Berlin. Now it's hunky dory, or some other early Bowie album. So: Never mind. Yeah, I ran into the same thing. The order page initially said my financial institution declined the charge. Called my bank and they said charges from Ableton wer...

Re: Why Quantity is more important than Quality in music making

If you are refusing to finish a song because it’s not as good as (...), you are facing the wrong opponent. This is something I struggle with a lot. Not so much as a reason for not finishing, but rather getting discouraged because I'm not as good as someone else. Judgement can be a motivator, but se...

Re: Simplest Mastering, Please Help

So I finally finished making a track and am pretty much scared to screw anything up. Obviously, you should do a "File > Save a Copy" to save a snapshot of what you have now to a different name or location. Then you can always get back to this point to start over if you make a total mess of things. ...

Re: No "Without content" version of Suite 8.3.4?

There is only one version available this time, though - the "With content" one. Is there no alternative download with "application only"? I asked Ableton about this a month ago. The reply I got said they weren't offering the program-only updates because they will be making content changes more freq...

Re: "Ableton Live 8...confidential info...keychain". ..WHAT?

"Ableton Live 8 wants to use your confidential information stored in "Ableton Services (services.ableton.com)" in your keychain" which I never had before. If I click 'allow' all is well and no doubt if i clicked 'always allow' all would always be well. But what does it mean? Why now? Interesting. M...
