Re: Why Quantity is more important than Quality in music making

If you are refusing to finish a song because it’s not as good as (...), you are facing the wrong opponent. This is something I struggle with a lot. Not so much as a reason for not finishing, but rather getting discouraged because I'm not as good as someone else. Judgement can be a motivator, but se...

Re: Simplest Mastering, Please Help

So I finally finished making a track and am pretty much scared to screw anything up. Obviously, you should do a "File > Save a Copy" to save a snapshot of what you have now to a different name or location. Then you can always get back to this point to start over if you make a total mess of things. ...

Re: No "Without content" version of Suite 8.3.4?

There is only one version available this time, though - the "With content" one. Is there no alternative download with "application only"? I asked Ableton about this a month ago. The reply I got said they weren't offering the program-only updates because they will be making content changes more freq...

Re: "Ableton Live 8...confidential info...keychain". ..WHAT?

"Ableton Live 8 wants to use your confidential information stored in "Ableton Services (services.ableton.com)" in your keychain" which I never had before. Re: i'm receiving fm radio thru monitor

I had the same problem with my monitors (Event PS8). It's likely that the FM signal is getting into your monitors either through the audio input (i.e. the cables feeding audio to the monitors), or is being picked up by wires inside the monitors. It's also possible it's coming in through the AC power...

Re: Upgrade to Suite.... where is drum machines???

I had pretty much the same problem as the OP. Found this thread in a search of the forums, but it doesn't really end with the problem being solved, so I thought I'd add my notes about what worked for me. Maybe it'll save someone some time. I downloaded and installed the 2GB Live8-to-Suite upgrade fi...
