Re: Finding lost ableton 9 session

If you saw the name, would you recognize it? If so, you could search your hard drive for all .als files and see if any of them trigger your memory. If you remember approximately when you recorded the session, you could look at the .als file creation and/or modification dates to narrow it down. -- Mo...

Re: Issues recording syntheziser via external sound card

I'm not familiar with either the Kaoscillator or the Komplete Audio 6, but from the pictures, it looks like you're running the line out from the Kaoscillator (an analog output) to the SPDIF input on the Audio 6 (a digital input). That won't work. You should be running the Kaoscillator output to eith...

The answer's in the subject line of your post: just select the field and type the value you want and hit return. Does that not work for you?

The Velocity MIDI effect can randomize velocity for all notes on a track.

Re: audio output issue, please help

Are you plugging your devices into a USB hub or directly into the USB ports on your Mac? If you're using a hub, it could be that the hub has failed. Try plugging your interface into a port on your Mac instead of going through the hub.

Re: Anyone else find the Push 2 unplayable?

basically the amount of pressure applied should map to the same velocity if your finger is already resting on the pad, compared to if you strike the pad from a distance. Maybe, maybe not. It depends on exactly how they're doing that mapping. A moving finger striking a pad has kinetic energy and ine...

Re: Push 2 can't make Red LEDS or Screen? Anyone else?

But when coloring a track red, Push 2 can't make the screen or pads look red; they just look Orange. Yeah, I speculate that Push doesn't show pure red because Live uses that color to indicate the active pads when recording. I guess they figure it could get confusing during recording. Unfortunately ...

Re: Ableton serously?! Library erased after launch of 9.6 !

What contradicts file paths being the issue in Guillermo's case, is the fact that these did work up until the update. Indeed. In fact, according to his statements, they continued to work even after the update . It was only later after having some problems with Push2 that he noticed they were missin...

Re: VST synths going in and out of key problem

Are you using the Zebra2 VST synth? If so, have you entered your registration code?

Going in and out of tune periodically is a "feature" of Zebra2 in demo mode. Once you enter a registration code, it stops doing that :-)

Re: Hey here's something weird/cool (analog vs operator)

I confirmed the effect with the default settings of Analog. To fix it, change the Amp envelope slopes from EXP to LIN (exponential to linear). You probably would want to change the filter envelope slopes as well. I didn't confirm, but I would expect them to work the same way. (Then again, for a 30 m...

I just duct-tape it to the side of my car and take it to one of those drive-thru automatic car wash places. Gets even stubborn stains out and always comes out squeaky clean. ;-)

Re: Record 16bit, Export 16bit - needs dithering??

If all I'm doing is recording and then exporting -- no processing, no mixing, no folding down, no non-neutral operations whatsoever on a single, simple stereo track -- why does Live say, "Converting bit depth with Dithering"? Live behaves as though any signal you feed it is automatically transposed...

You can create as many folders and sub-folders as you want in the User Library and drag any drum racks or presets into them.

Re: Live 9.5 is adding high feqs to all samples

in the meantime if anyone else has any suggestions it would really help OK, I'll take my turn in this game of "stump the chumps." :) To my ear, that sounds like a bad sample rate conversion. I tried playing with your original sample (the .wav file) in Live 9.5 on my Mac. I couldn't reproduce your p...
