Some people like dongles, some hate them. Personally, I find that no matter how annoying dongles can be, they provide a more flexible approach to authorisation since you can install and authorise on as many systems as you desire. Dongles also make picking up the pieces after an OS reinstallation a b...

Im pretty sure people don't want 100's of clips of lighting sequences needed to use a midi>dmx adaptor, people would like to automate there lighting to audio clips directly, just as they do for there audio effects, is where our solution shines through. . EXACTLY! I am musician first and the live as...

how the hell does someone steal a drive from right in front of you? And furthermore without him immediately noticing since most likely he'd be streaming stuff from it at the time ... Ouch ! Of course no backups is fucking stupidity if the data is has value to you. Personally I can't sleep well at n...

^ that's not really true. when circuit boards are made, they have to clean the flux off the boards, some methods use water with a specialized detergent in them. people assume electronics are more fragile than they really are. there are parts you have to be careful around, relays, for example almost...

nice post jase! I never thought of using a sustain pedal like that. I actually find it difficult to play keys when don't have a sustain pedal with me. The sustain pedal trick is good if you're playing a piano patch on a 61 note controller keyboard ... you can hold down notes in the extreme high or ...

Re: Programming Is Not the Same As Playing

I like realizing that programming a synth is not the same as playing a synth I'm not a player so many times I get frustrated with all I have to go through to create the music i want. my buddy just thinks of something and then plays it trying out this idea and that idea while in contrast i'm much sl...

What are all you fuckers on crack??? DO NOT PUT WATER ON IT... You only clean the non working parts (i.e. outer surfaces) with water, even soapy water. H2O will cause corrosion on any of the components if it gets inside and the slider contacts especially. Unplug it, take the cover and knobs off, wa...

Re: anyone know any good authroized korg repair shops?

i took my ms2000r in to the local place to have it fixed. it would not make any of the actual sounds it should... just a very faint tick for every note it should play. they say they are korg authorized. they have a service tech that works out of his house and im starting to wonder of his competence...

p.s. Ableton please introduce round-robin cycling functions to Drum Racks (or better still) Sampler so that I don't have to use NNXT or Battery! they already have done so inside the Random plugin. drop one onto each drum rack pad, set the mode to 'alt', 'chance' to 100%, and 'choices' to the number...

@jasefos: Can you please elaborate on what round-robin actually is... I've seen it come up numerous times but have never understood what it is/does. Thanx -j Hi jesQuick. A sampler capable of Round-Robin playback of multisamples allows you to simulate the physical nature of acoustic (and some synth...
